Hi, small bug, when I lock my wallet, the icon on the top still unlock...
But I see in the bottom that my wallet is encrypted and lock

we did mention that in release notes

thats part of the security fix
that if u unlock for minting only

the wallet gui part now stay in locked mode (only backend unlocked for minting)

that the lock symbol name the carry wrong name is a minor issue

the security fix was of way higher value

if u minting mode now or not u can see by the color of the diamond symbol bottom right

if its blue u have mature coins and ur wallet try to claim a POS block

when u unlock wallet it can need up to 60 sec until the diamond change color to blue

if he stay grey u have maybe no coins that are older than 9 days
or u have maybe in conf a reservebalance=999999 active which in fact is the same as disable POS

As i  replied after that a couple of posts down at the end wallet started... probably is a problem of pc performances, low ram (2Gb.) and a dual core processor....

Bacause i made other two restarts and time remains high... not so high as the first but took always more than an hour in the second and third restart.

On that pc there are also other 4 staking coin wallets, so probably a little overloaded....

Next week ram will be updated to 8Gb. and i will see if the startup performances remains the same or improve.

Thanks.

i guess thats not only RAM (but sure upgrade to a bit more that 2 GB is for sure a great idea)

startup time are mostly related to HDD speed

a SSD helps a lot

Donwloaded the new wallet, one question... is it normal that after first launch of the new version, is more than 2 hours that the wallet is on the splash screen with the status "Loading block index..." there is a sort of reindexing for the first launch of the new wallet ?

(Win 10 platform)....

Cheers

if same wallet.dat was active before and blockchain sync

u just stop wallet 2.0.5.7 and start wallet 2.1.0.1
no bigger startup time is to be expected

if u use a wallet.dat from a backup
it easy possible it need some time at first startup

at second start should be as fast as normal

Upgraded the exe as you told us, on the live wallet, stopped previous version, copied exe and started in a few minutes the new one, now i'am at more than 3 hours and still the same splash screen.....
You recommend to kill the process and restart again ?

interesting first user who report this behavior

as long as u have a backup of ur wallet.dat

nothing serious can happen even if u kill process and ur local blockchain got corrupted u can just start with a backup of chain

so choose whatever suits u better

leave it run over night and see what happens

or kill and try restart

if chain or wallet.dat got damage start with backup data

This is not quite true.
If you unlock your wallet with a note only for minting the icon does not change because the wallet is closed for outgoing transactions.
What would make outbound transaction, you will need to enter a password.
But if you unlock your wallet in full (without notes only for minting)

the icon will change and your wallet will be fully open for outbound transactions.

Wallet build for 2.1.0.1 on ArmV8 (aarch64) completed using Ubuntu 16.04LTS Smiley
Noticed a new address in Receive Coins, also what are Scrape Address ?

u can define a target address for POS rewards generated by a address

for normal addresses this is optional

for stake boosted addresses this is mandatory
or u destroy ur stakeboost ability after first POS block found
(because the size of coin pile no longer fit to boost size)

hello
sorry but i dont understand what settings the conf file doing this ?

coins should be in 1 lump or multiples of 1000?

Please clarify

only stakeboosted addresses need the excact amount of coins in 1 pile
and a scrape address is mandatory for them

any normal address dont need to sort their coins in a special way
and set a scrape address is optional

"Group stake trigger value increased from 100DMD to 150DMD which allows minting more old small coin piles faster."

thus the number of days until the first minting became more than 9?
or increased Group stake trigger does not affect?

min age is not affected
only group stake trigger value for merge together small old coin pile automatic

our how DMD POS works guide explain it in all details

Possible bug found ... in Diamond 2.1.0.1 (Linux) Debug Window Information, 'Build Date' is blank.

that sounds to me more related to how u build the wallet Wink

as u can see the precompiled windows wallet we provide have a build date

Have u build for Linux yet to see if there is a problem?
Not a big problem but need to figure out why LOL.
you need 1000 dmds. lol

ROFL
People handing out DMD then send some this way boys Wink dNeUD5GUDVnPCdtrDcTzDsiGkQ3LfFt53E I honestly will hold them safe and never let them go Smiley
