Once the dimondcoins are all mined are the only coins available for POS the coins from the wallet fee? Im new to crypto and like the idea of the diamond coin but just trying to get a better understanding of how the small quantity is going to play out in the long term

I had to re-download the blockchain as advised.
It now works well.
Thanks for the help.
As this is a problem, even though it is rare, do you understand what causes it and do you intend to fix it?

yes

new wallet will be released in a few days
early enough to make 1000000 total coins trigger contain more than only pow reward reduction

 Roll Eyes OOOOOooooo  Roll Eyes - Do I read between the lines that there might be a surprise in the new wallet?  I like surprises!  Grin

My diamond wallet has stopped working this last week.
I have had no problems with it for a long time.
The last block time was friday march 20. It won't go past this time.
The connections also dont seem as stable as they use to be.

I have exactly the same problem.  Cry

What gives??  Huh

This happens, rarely, but it happens.

First try to restart your wallet.
If that does not work, you need to re-download your blockchain again.
That ll fix it 100%.

Good evening to every one

Interesting blocks 856961,2,3
and specially blocks difficulty.
Have someone any comments

br

Looks like the reactor (which is like community-funded, group POS) was staking coins for 856961. Only 10-ish diamonds were generated by those blocks in total, but it does look like a lot.

The block difficulty is lower on all of them because staking has low difficulty to begin with... and the reactor has so many coins that it stakes all the time.

So no, it's not suspicious if that's what you were hinting at. I don't really like the idea of pooled staking myself, but it could've happened whether or not the devs encouraged it.

Hello
Sorry for delay
I not worry that reactor,its looks same what is many other poorly managed wallets
I mean that difficulty calculation,its looks fail when, previous block  came later.
Maybe that time-rolling system is cause
We not know how that POS working exactly.

If that does not work, you need to re-download your blockchain again.
That ll fix it 100%.

u can speed up sync by use a pre-synced chain
https://mega.co.nz/#!yFFyFBgT!0sXA5k8DAwyiJVNsXo8qMXJgX34o81cTnGUevALdfzc
and replace the files in
%AppData%\Diamond with it

always make sure u backup ur wallet.dat before touch ur files in appdata

also make sure u have  a diamond.conf in that folder with at least following lines

listen=1
noirc=1
addnode=193.68.21.19
addnode=54.191.208.14
addnode=54.255.133.30

The next reactor payment is just a few days away. The system operates perfectly.

Also, we are now 33k away from reward reduction, roughly just under 2 weeks until DMD supply shrinks. If you plan to get a bit more cheap DMD, now might be the time.

I still think that it would be extremely beneficial for DMD to be listed on some other exchange besides Cryptsy. I mentioned this on the DMD forums a while back, and Cryptonit had told me that after the demise of mintpal and usecryptos, you weren't seeking exchanges anymore. He had said that once volume increases, exchanges should add DMD naturally. While I agree, I think there is a pressing need to be listed on an exchange besides Cryptsy. Comkort now has a DMD market, but not many people use it... The volume is close to nothing there. I talk about DMD alot, and I try to bring new people into the fold - but when I mention it only trades is Cryptsy, most people don't want to touch it.

I think this is a good next step for Diamond. Once it's traded on a more common exchange, I think the volume as well as price will increase quite a bit. Just a suggestion from a long time DMD supporter. Wink

I just submitted a listing request form to Polo. Not much, but maybe it'll help a bit. Wink

we plan a few more testing rounds before release so is still some days away but should be early enought to be before total coins 1000000

It's not required for you to have your wallet open to generate rewards (according to Cryptonit, from the following link)...

You can check out this thread in the DMD forums, alot is explained on minting here:
http://bit.diamonds/community/index.php/topic,46.0.html

it is required to have the wallet open and in minting mode to claim ur rewards
but ur coin-age which is base of the amount of rewards increase even while wallet is closed

please ask such questions at DMD forum http://bit.diamonds/community/
i only rare check BTT and it can happen u get no answer here

I'm sorry, that minting thread actually says you only need to keep your wallet open for 1 day a month to get rewards. I kinda thought that was weird too, that's why I linked to the DMD forum where it said that. My bad for the misinformation.
http://bit.diamonds/community/index.php/topic,46.0.html

What's funny is that I was told to goto the BCT thread to ask questions because nobody kept the forum up to date... Guess that changed. Sorry.

Edit: And no, I didn't mean that you can leave your wallet closed for a month and open it one day to receive a stake from when it was closed. I just meant that from the information I was given, blocks would accrue weight just as they would if your wallet was open. Is this correct?
