hi, is the "group small amounts into a 100 DMD" for staking in effect already in 2.0.3? what if my DMDs have not reached a combined 100 yet?

im a small miner and mine at a NOMP pool and now have hundreds of transactions in payout of ~0.1
how does the grouping affect the individual transactions coin-age?

Danbi do you think there is room for improvement on PoS minting performance? Is there something I can do or try? I'm a good C programmer and, if you can point me to the relevant code, I can try to make some modifications.

CPU usage is not related to PoS difficulty. If it is related to PoS, it is related to the number of eligible unspent amounts you have in the wallet - PoS would try to stake each and every one of these.

I believe there is room for significant improvement in the wallet/transaction etc handling. I am still investigating where to start from, but here is the problem: all searches are linear, a linked list is traversed to find eligible coins etc. The code would greatly benefit from more internal indexes.

We have enabled combining in the PoS code, which will (with time) reduce the number of amounts and thus improve CPU usage. Another idea I plan to implement is setting to declare the change address. At present, any time there is a change (almost always when sending coins) the wallet would create new address/keys and send the change there -- this makes the wallet huge and very slow to operate. Most users don't need the 'anonymity' provided by this mechanism.

What you could try is looking in the BitcoinMiner function and increasing the sleep timers for PoS -- or just adding some. That will lower the CPU usage at the cost of trying to stake less frequently.

PoS-related problem: I have two wallets, one on Windows one on a Mac. Windows PoS works like a charm, but the minted coins on the Mac are (almost all) "Generated but not accepted".

1. Any guess why? All settings are the same in the two machines. Same location & similar connection speed too.
2. Do I lose anything by these rejected transactions or will the correct reward be at some point rewarded in the end?

the other things we have in work are to early to talk about them
but i just say "unique" ........

as someone said every top coin adds some unique feature or mechanic to crypto
time for us to present our uniqueness Cool

but i have to ask for patience

Diamond is a part of Coin Payments which makes it acceptable by shops really easily, but we agree that quality of the shops is not that great. CoinPayments and we need to do more in that respect. But ... we have several things going at the moment (as always) that would address your suggestions; regardless of that, we do no believe that Diamond is destined to be used for micro payments. who know maybe we even able to get diamond listed on the USD market dircet USD/DMD exchange
if we not create trading volume thats not likely to happen

I've put up a decent buy wall at 25000 so we don't bottom quickly.
Now we need to get some VOLUME on there and get active trading going! Craptsy is still DOA for DMD Huh

If I remember right, the compiler you used is an older one (gcc 4.2.1?) -- this means much less optimizations and you might have resorted to -O0 to make it run. Compiler optimizations make very big difference.

The wallet tries to pace down the PoS hashing, but it still has to do calculations. When you have more eligible coins, it wastes more CPU. When you have more addresses within the wallet, it wastes more CPU. Therefore, when you mint your coins, for a period of time you will have lower CPU usage.

Look at compiler optimizations first

I used to compile it with the default setting of -O2.
Just tried with -O3 but I don't see any difference.
Maybe I should compile a newer gcc but it will take ages!
