I don't believe it has testnet?

Why not?

All bitcoin forks have testnet. It just sometimes it is broken.
I used it on groestlcoin. Works pretty well.
You just need two wallets with different ports on the same machine, and there you go... Your testnet with super low difficulty.

Not sure, you have this marked as scrypt, its groestl.

Hi pool operators trying to set up pool mining for DMD!

Maybe a stupid question, but still here I go... Why don't you use testnet? This way difficulty is very low and you can see if you've solved a block or not in a matter of minutes. Why do you need mainnet?

Thanks

Our attempt at a pool came up with the usual result:

 [Pool]      [Diamondcoin] (Thread 1) We thought a block was found but it was rejected by the daemon, share data: {"job":"29","ip":"XXX","worker":"XXXXXX","height":393842,"blockReward":1000000,"poolReward":990000,"difficulty":0.02,"shareDiff":"15839.58450802","blockDiff":10945.29713536,"blockDiffActual":42.755066935,"blockHash":0000000004232de679778fc6eb680536643394d6911dac3175960d1337a3fa5c"}

Granted total time was about 10 minutes of effort and hashing.

I hope I'm a newb, and block rewards really arent 1000000

And thats a very long way of saying percentage...

Good, then it wasnt only me getting rejects. Now we know that.
And they will keep getting it wrong until they get it right (duh!). So Ahmed, we are at your disposal as soon as there are any new changes in your code. Keep up the good work!

I like big BITS and I cannot lie.
Hi,
I just had to sign up to add to this discussion. Was getting a bit frustrated with some ppls unability to understand the complexity of things.

Guys, some positive attitude please. They are trying their best to fix this. I managed to connect. What you have to do is change the "stratum+tcp://" for "http://". The stratum is acting weird remember.

@Ahmed: Im logged on but i get all rejects or stale. States "target-miss". Hopefully that helps your troubleshooting.
And if I understand correctly, you are trying to set up a P2pool? I could prob run a node if you got all the software working Wink Im on a solid connection in Northern Europe.

And the increase in hashpower could come from vultures that see a weak network where no one is mining. That's a definition of a party Wink

thanks I can connect now

nothing but rejects

I run Groestl on a bamt miner just fine and have been for a while! I also run a small NVidia from windows and neither can connect or mine on his pool as I just tried........ Ahmed whats up?

tried with cpu , NVidia, and 7950 so nope its a NO GO!!!!!!!!

I like big BITS and I cannot lie.
Still solo mining.

24 hours now WITHOUT a single coin though, 36 hours with just 1 (one machine that's never had even one), and that after getting off to a nice start that met with expectations.

The overall diff picture hasn't changed in that time (roughly the same as 3 days ago while trending ever so slightly higher).

What has changed was the mention of "secret" private pools.

If they're big, then that puts the little solo miner out of business. But is that really true? Statistically speaking, my miners should have the same probabilities of solving a block (as in BLOCK!) regardless of whether the entire network were all one huge pool except for little old me, or the entire network were nothing but solo miners with me included, correct?

1 big pool + little old me = same probabilities = all solo miners with little old me included, correct?

The so called "lottery ticket" is exactly the same for little old me, and it's completely independent
of the make-up of the rest of that particular statistical universe, correct?

24 hours with zilch is really stacking the odds though.

Something smells fishy. Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Add: @ahmed_bodi, will be sending you some hashpower sometime tomorrow - I want to give this some more time with concentrated hashpower for statistical reasons first. Do I need to create a login or do I just use my DMD address?

How much hash power do you have and how many blocks have you found?

hang in there DMD!

QUESTION:

I sent DMD to my wallet on 4/29 (seems this was shortly after the transition here.)

Running a mac I couldn't get the wallet to finish syncing that I had sent it to... So I finally got around to running the DMD client on windows with the previous wallet.dat file.

BlockChain and client is synced. But my balance shows 0.00 DMD.

I double checked the addresses and outbound withdrawal from Cryptsy. Everything looks normal. Is there a block explorer?

Here's my tx information from Crypt. IS THIS TRANSACTION IN THE BLOCKCHAIN OR SHOULD I CONTACT THEM?
