This is definitely a very interesting idea and is something I have actually proposed several times.
I would certainly be up for discussion, DopeCoin will be rebranded and receive a technology upgrade in the very near future. This could potentially be a mutually beneficial idea for both communities and development teams.
The difficult part is that I have tried emailing and contacting their admin for around 6 months and only received one reply saying that this was going to be forwarded to the team. I followed up twice but the trail went cold.
The reality that I am certain of is that there will be a large, well funded, big time marijuana brand, entering the marketplace in the near future.
The only way to compete with this foe is to have a solid team of developers, business development expertise, marketing, cash flow management, legal, constant technical innovation, and real-world use.
Why? Because a big boy like Weedmaps, Leafly, High Times etc will have all of these components and much more.
Can you imagine the amount of cash that would be raised in an ICO for one of these brands?
As soon as this happens, anyone who is not serious about their technology and the establishment of a real-world use will be obliterated.
The cold, hard, unforgiving, truth of the situation is that NONE of the marijuana crypto coins are going to ever provide a banking solution for the marijuana industry.
Yes, there is still some red tape in the industry and challenges are being faced, but that is quickly going to be cleared up and institutional banking will certainly come in to provide a solution to that billion dollar industry.
And then what happens? That business model (that has failed to get any traction in 4 years) will vanish overnight.
There are some definite benefits described in the article outlining the powerhouse that could be created by combining our tech and executing the worlds first crypto merger. I am certainly interested to hear your thoughts and am up for discussion. This evening I will join the PotCoin telegram group and attempt to start a discussion.
