DOVU is shaping the crypto model for the mobility ecosystem. Introducing a transport focused protocol to accelerate the development of mobility related decentralised applications (dApps), the DOV token powers new business models in the transportation sector. The creation of these dApps will be fuelled by data, therefore the DOVU API Marketplace will support the community further by simplifying the development of mobility data globally.
The DOVU Platform consists of the following components, the DOVU Protocol (Detailing data interchange and attribution of value), the DOV token (for payments within the platform) and the DOVU API Marketplace (the first dApp developed by DOVU). The DOVU Protocol is open source and facilitates the development of mobility related dApps. Based on Ethereum, the DOV token is used for transactions within these dApps.

IOTA is working on some similar ideas, but it would be difficult for them to penetrate the automotive use case without partnerships with OEMs. A good thing going on for DOVU is that they have received seed funding from InMotion Ventures, Jaguar Land Rover’s investment arm ,who will work closely with DOVU to help them establish industry wide relations.
