Indeed it would be nice to get some info regarding the reason for the swap.
Without an info, what I can guess is the following (correct me if I'm wrong):
developers want to add some larger features from other coins (like masternodes, for example), however to add this feature for the Droidz, it would need a full revamping of the source code, comparable to implementing a new coin. Or even the blockchain format should be changed, so new features could be implemented. Thus the developers suggest to launch a new blockchain, and swap the existing Droidz coins with the new "Droidz2" (or perhaps call it "Androidz"/"MasterDroidz" ).
Is this guess correct.., or I found a mare's nest.?
