The issue seemed to have been inherited from the very First DEV.

Current Dev might have complied his source code from the very first version from the old DRZ Dev = version 1.2.0.

I scanned all the versions (because I saved all the version files)

The issue is not evident in version 2.1.1.2, so everybody on version 2.1.1.2 is safe.

It may be a minor issue, as stated above

this is NOT an issue ...

the majority of the 'newer' wallets developed in visual studio show a false positive due the components of visual studio that gets implemented / compiled into the wallet ...

in fact - some of the components of mingw - when the wallets have been cross compiled from linux - also show a pup signature ...

the virus programs are designed that way - heuristics in ALL viral scanners work that way ...

if there is ANY issue at all - it is with the virus software NOT updating the whitelists ...

you dont get this issue in linux ...

everyone needs to understand that the paranoia that windows users have are a result of the lack of security in the windows os ... with these wallets - you will find that not all scanners see this as a pup ... that is enough evidence to prove that the reliability of such applications to verify whether a wallet is virus ridden or not - is questionable ...

the bottom line is simple ... if you are in doubt - dont use it ... there are other ways of getting wallets to store coins - like using a trusted service ... but even then - the issue on that side of the fence is not the trustworthiness of the wallet - but the reliability of the service being provided ... so where can you win in this situation? ...

if the development of the windows wallet BY windows software is showing a pup signature - then isnt it microsofts responsibility to fix the issue? ... or they making too much money to worry about stuff like that? ...

the code is not the issue here ... tried scanning dash or litecoin or even bitcoin wallets compiled in the same visual studio software? ... you will be very surprised what the viral scanning software comes up with those also ... false positives more often than not ..

Just 1 out of 54 antiviruses reports "PE:Malware.RDM.17!5.17 [F]" virus. Never heard of this antivirus called "Rising".

99.9% possibility this is a false positive. Similar situation was on the HXX coin wallet before, and proved to be false positive: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/hxx-swap-hexxcoin-cpu-anonymous-zerocoin-c-cex-yobit-cryptopia-1171724

Nor have I ever heard of Rising Antivirus  Huh

Yes i think it's a false positive too but we will still check it out regardless.

We have this info from Mcafee for it

http://home.mcafee.com/virusinfo/virusprofile.aspx?key=8620701#none

This software is not a virus or a Trojan. It is detected as a "potentially unwanted program" (PUP). PUPs are any piece of software that a reasonably security- or privacy-minded computer user may want to be informed of and, in some cases, remove. PUPs are often made by a legitimate corporate entity for some beneficial purpose, but they alter the security state of the computer on which they are installed, or the privacy posture of the user of the system, such that most users will want to be aware of them.

Thanks for noticing it.

Virustotal shows a possible infection in the new wallet:

But it would be nice if the devs could look into it and find what cases this issue, and fix it if possible. This could give a peace of mind to the people who like things to be perfect Smiley

I will contact Fraz right away, and other experts too.

200+K blocks fresh new start?
Yes a fresh new start of development!
instead of making a new coins like so many people do on a daily basis and just walk away. We had the idea to pick up were others failed or just gave up.

This has been done before on numerous occasions and hasn't worked. Why not spend your time coding something in Bitshares/Nxt/Ether and help us move 2.0 coins forward not this shit.

Looks like drz is gaining in momentum, Would be a good time to hold and buy more at current price. All going well we could go way above ico price.
oh I wish I had BTC to grab it up. Its a pity that I lost money on other coins.
