But is this possible to convert ERC tokens to BEP tokens? And how to do this? Do they have cross wallet for this or which wallets are supporting this now?

You cant convert it but the team is making a bridge to make it possible in the future.

But this is not possible right now? As I see they dont have own wallet... For example Tomochain made BEP tokens and made be-direction swap in own wallet. This should made DUSK asap

I'm still confused ... everyone is going to buy the tokens at the lowest price. If some of the ERC20 or BEP-2 tokens will have a higher price and will not sell, what happens to them? they will definitely must have a price close to each other. How will tokens will be substituted with coins if the ERC20 will be at diferent price compare to BEP-2 , or vice versa ?  must be equalized in some way!

Prices will in theory be balanced by arbitragers. Have a look here for explanation; https://www.investopedia.com/terms/a/arbitrage.asp

If tokens will be on the same chain or there was any way to swap tokens, the price would be balanced by arbitragers. But on binance dex it is bep-20 and on bitfinex it is erc-20. They are completely different and can't be interacted. Because there is no arbitrage opportunity price can be very different.

OK. I can understand that there are tokens in two different Chains now, and that this will bring greater popularity and access to larger exchanges in a timely manner, but when the native token of the DUSK network comes up, BEP2 and ERC will merge into one? How will this be possible if your prices fluctuate in opposite directions of value?

All tokens will be replaced with coins. The winners will be those buyers who will buy at a lower price. For example, they will buy ERC20 tokens if they are cheaper. Or they will buy BEP-2 if they are cheaper. Prices will stabilize in any case. So after all, the price of the same coin is different in different exchanges. That's not a problem either.

this question is happen to me some day ago, but after i understanding more, i got a conclution.
its like you trade btc in different exchange, lets say you buy btc in binance and stellarport, there is different type of coin you buy (one is real btc, other only tokenizing), you still can hold your btc from stellarport in your stellar wallet.
what happen with price? nothing happen. cause dusk use bep2 token in binance dex, and erc20 in other exchange. traders will do arbitrage to buy/sell token.

So, both tokens will be equal when it comes to the final swap. I didn't know that. It is an interesting approach. I have never seen this before. 2 tokens on two different chains.

Since some days, the Dusk Browser Node occasionally stops counting the tokens in Brave (the symbol indicates that the extension is "on").
After switching "off" "on" the extension it works again and counts up the token.
Can someone confirm this behavior?

What do you mean on what happens to them? They are just a placeholder tokens before the mainnet and they are representing the same coin. They just happen to have them in 2 chains. When the mainnet comes they will be both swapped to it 1:1 and then there's only one chain.

Can someone quickly sum up the differences between the tokens on Binance Dex and the ERC20 tokens? Will both tokens have the same use case?

They are both the same token, but in the different blockchains (erc20 and bep2) so you can't (not yet) transfer erc 20 tokens to binance or binance tokens to eth chain. Later both tokens can be swapped into same dusk blockchain coins.

So besides that they both are on different blockchains atm there isn't much that makes them differ from each other? And you were talking about a swap to their native coins. Is there already an roughly estimated date when this could be possible?

moment, i'm still a bit confused, tokens are listed on binance, ethfinex and bitfinex as erc20 token and on binance dex as bep-2? so the two versions coexist and can be traded simultaneously?...

yes, you can trade both if you have bep and erc dusk tokens. There are only 50m dusk bep tokens and rest of the remaining are erc tokens.

Let us not be confused by DUSK adopting ERC-20 and BEP-2 standards since I was thinking that it is a strategic move to reach out to more stakeholders as possible thus enabling a more wider distribution of the token but if I'm not mistaken, in the end and once the mainnet goes live, this tokens will be naturally swapped to DUSK Network's native token (DUSK) and will be consolidated accordingly.

This is how i interpret this whole situation also, and it seems like their decision to adopt BEP-2 is working out in terms of popularity. We see this all the time with ERC20 but i never saw a project doing more blockchains together.

I've been now reading about xcs standard while trying to figure out your research posts, and while most of the tech seems like magic to me, i can see more possibilities every time i read them once again and i keep grinning like an idiot because i invested into this.
Keep up the good work. Ps: can't wait those good news, the waiting drives me crazy. Smiley

This has to be confusing for the average user. crypto is information heavy as it is, you shouldn't add on top of it.

well, lets positif thinking that the exchange (bitfinex) or dusk itself give us swap option, so we can do arbitrage trading. when we withdraw token from binance dex and want to deposit to bitfinex, our token will be automated swap. that if bitfinex supporting binance dex to

Interesting way to swap. you just have to deposit the old tokens on an exchange. However, will you be able to swap without an exchange as well?
