The new daemons are on the website ( https://www.ecc.network) and ready for download. This is version 0.2.5.4. This is a manditory upgrade. You will not be on the right chain if you do not upgrade.

When you download this daemon, YOU MUST resync your wallet from scratch. i would recommend deleting every file in your eccoin folder except:
peers.dat
wallet.dat
eccoin.conf

if you are unsure where to find these files, they are at the following locations:
linux: ~/.eccoin
windows: C:\Users\[your computers username]\AppData\Roaming\eccoin

Thanks,
-Griffith

Thanks

Hello Guys,

I'm an ECC Supporter, nevertheless i'm a little worry about a few things.

This coin is developping since 2014 and is still very low.

- The team appear to be very very little no ? ( How many devs and other persons are working on the project ?).
- Do you think ecc payments has a real "futur" since there is other currencies like Dash, Ltc, Xmr, DGB ?
- Do you plan to reach big companies / investors in order to use ECC ?
- Do you plan tu make any rebranding ? Yeah, a rebranding can help a lot...and i'm afraid ECC ( E-Currency coin) sounds too geekly....It has been proven than a "cool name" is very important...

Please don't read my message as bad, i have 800 000 ECC and plan to hold it 2-3 years but i'm a little afraid about this coin/ambition...i'm afraid it will be only a coin for a few geek Sad

What are your ambitions with this coin ?

Thanks a lot Smiley

Nix'

* The coin was left to die by the original developer until the current Dev took it over.

* There are multiple developers working on the coin at the present time.

* There are many other features besides payments, that's actually going to be a small part of the project.

* Marketing will begin after the coding is done and the features have been released.

* Rebranding is not likely but, you are welcome to make suggestions.

Please join our SLACK channel for up to the minute information where you can talk with development team directly at:

Anyone else having problems with the x64 windows wallet?
Tells me "Daemon not running or loading blockindex" but theres no connections.
If I type something in the debug console the command is not beeing performed.
Debug console shows no response even not for help command.

Run daemon -> ECC Gui. If it was synced 100%, wait 11 minutes Smiley

Sounds like a secret plan to prevent "normal" users from using the wallet  Wink
I'll give it a try.
Any reasons why the daemon is seperated from the wallet?

Gryffith will fix it. To do list from Slack:

"Except for the fact that i cant spell, pretty successful launch i suppose. A lot of the complaints people have had so far are about usability with different aspects of the gui. so i will work to fix that and push out a gui update soon. the update to do list i have thus far is

Issue: No indication of staking
Gui: needs icon to signal staking
Daemon: needs to broadcast to the gui that staking is active if it isnt already

Issue: Error and loading messages from rpc are not displayed on gui
Gui: add proper processing of error/loading messages
    daemon: no changes needed

Issue: Gui suggests setting a password even if one is already set
Gui: check for walletlock with rpc commands
    Daemon: no changes needed

Issue: staking transactions show up as a sending out and a recieving instead of a mining
Gui: needs to edit json display of coinstake tx's
    daemon: no changes needed

Issue: no way to save state and close wallet through gui interaction
Gui: start and stop button needed to interact with daemon
    daemon: no changes needed

Issue: no auto update of daemon through gui
Gui: add option to check for daemon updates
    daemon: no changes needed

Issue: no information about the coins currently in staking that were removed from the balance
Gui: process json info for staking to add to home page
daemon: add staking info for staking to getinfo or getwalletinfo

issue: no staking only unlock toggle
    Gui: no change needed
daemon: ability to unlock for staking only

if there is anything i missed that you have found to be hard/confusing or something you would like me to make an FAQ on (or instruction page) please PM me and let me know. i know this seems like a lot of work to make a new gui when we could just use the Qt that the other wallets use but thats because we want to add a lot of stuff and features and this will scale a lot better into the future.

We know we need to add more documentation. we will be working on that and adding it to the githubs asap

Hello Griffith,

Thanks for the hard work you've done.

I have one question regarding the coin now that the wallet is up and running:

When will ECC be proposed for new, more popular/bigger exchanges?
Do you have a plan regarding that matter?

we will be working on getting added on more exchanges in the next few weeks yes.

Great new Griffith
Thanks a Lot
