They were definitely doing it with DOGE. Granted, DOGE rewards could go all the way down to 0, while with ECC the lowest is 33% of the maximum. Keep in mind that it doesn't cost them anything to switch. They just need something else that they think is more profitable to switch to. All they need is a slight reason to do it, and that's enough.

Also, it's possible to game KGW in order to cheat. I don't fully understand it, but it involves faking the times when blocks are found somehow. That's why DOGE went to something else to set the difficulty.

But if it's not showing up at ECCHouse, and it looks like it's not, then there probably isn't a problem. That's the problem with randomness. It's so damned random!

Don't think multipools will profit the differences on the random blocks here, the differences too small, and jumping in out not worth it.

I saw a working-hard dev, but without a strong community.
It's really hard to go further withou a good community. 

I think you probably need to make the reward a constant 200000 coins per block and do it quickly. Given the way the net hash keeps jumping around recently, it looks like big hash is jumping in to cherry-pick the high reward blocks. That's the same problem DOGE had and is why they hard forked just now to make their reward constant. It's not fair to those of us who are mining constantly to have someone else come in and cherry-pick the high-reward blocks.

This is the last 20 blocks mined at the ECC - Cloudminers pool. Note how few blocks they have been able to find today that were > 200000 ECC.

And yes, even though the reward is supposed to be random, as soon as a block is solved, it's possible to calculate the reward for the next bock. See "Something is rotten in the state of DOGE mining" for a description of the problem as it occurred with Dogecoins. I would be very surprised if ECC somehow did things differently.

BTW, I shortened someone's ID in the table to make the columns line up better. The table is here, but may change by the time you look at it.

Can someone verify if this is a problem with ECCHouse? They are so large it couldn't be just a matter of luck if it shows up there. I don't have an account with them and they don't provide that information to the public. The average reward for the last 24 hours would be great to know. For ECC - Cloudminers, it was about 157,000, instead of 200,000.

My investors are looking forward to buying decent size stakes in ECC if 'whales' start dumping.

There is a lot of misunderstanding about markets, and of course most people worry about there being too many coins when the real problem is that most do not have enough available.

Anyone with the capital and skill to really promote is not going to bother unless a big stake is available for them to invest.

That is why premines are good, not bad...and large holders are good not bad... and dumps are good not bad, because someone is buying the ones that are sold.

there is also less coin then mint... only 17billion in circulation once mining goes to 1 coin.. rest is from pos....

spread the word and those bigger rigs will get less.. its like that on any coin....

I'd say it's not about some mining more than others, that will always be a given. But 45 days of mining at low difficulty with no halving allows those with more powerful rigs (which there are plenty of people with these) to amass tens of millions. Some already have 40+ million in a week, imagine in 6.5 weeks? Mint Coin offered 20% interest and look at what happened to them once the whales decided to dump their coins when the mining period was over. What do you think is going to happen when the big boys having more ECC coins when compared to Mint decide to dump their coins, which they invariably will.

I'm holding ECC for the short and long term, but just the sheer number of coins in circulation after 45 days is concerning, at least in my opinion.

Turning your question around: how would you go about making a mineable coin where the highest hashrates don't get more than lower hashrates? It's the nature of the beast and not coin-specific.

Also, assuming that those with tens of millions will automatically dump isn't necessarily true. Assuming a decent price once ECC gets on some higher volume exchanges, that 25% first year POS interest makes holding a mighty tempting option.

 We are not every coin. No need to be hopeless like that.

What are your concerns here? This planet works like this. I mine at home 1 mhs but they mine 20-30 mhs. Some mines even more. But no body is losing here. We actually equally benefiting from cryptos available thanks to computer technology.

But in real life it does not work like that. If you are relatives with boss in a business you can enjoy higher ranks in that business. If you stay close to a dev you enjoy giveaways. like this.

 in life, still, it's not ok to take always but you have to give back something. And if you give good things you get back more.(karma) The trick is here those who try to always gets and does not give not long survive or sustain their projects. i think we can agree on that.
