"SONM is a universal fog blockchain based supercomputer. It is an ethereum based network of globally distributed computational power. SONM project’s main purpose is to provide safe, cost efficient, means for executing general purpose computing workloads that can range from game servers all the way up to complex calculations of various forms of scientific research, using a free decentralized marketplace."

SONM is a general purpose computing cloud, whereby you can rent machine resource to execute specific tasks. Their focus appears to be on functionality traditionally served by super computer clusters, such as scientific projects, neural networks and rendering. However they do mention site hosting as a potential use case, albeit with a significant lack of clarity and with big barriers to adoption such as a lack of ability to map in traditional top level domains, instead falling back to a service- specific address layer:

"In the address bar the service may look like name,site.sonm or probably just %name%.sonm (which would be the name of the service that finds a hidden node using the locator and loads the website)."

Our focus is on the provision of clearly defined interlinked web services (See https://dadi.tech/, many of which are already in market and proven at scale. In this and other respects we're significantly ahead of already-ICO'd projects like SONM.

It's not entirely like SiaCoin, though there are some similarities. SiaCoin is more of a decentralized S3, focusing on secure distributed storage. What we're building is a decentralized cloud computing network, tailored specifically to web services. We have a number of web services already built and being used in production on some pretty big sites, see https://dadi.cloud/en/#services for more information on them.

I think there are a number of reasons you should invest in our project, but it really depends on what the project means to you. As an engineer, I love the idea of turning our global device pool from it's current dormant state into a living and breathing network powering all the services around us. I think it's mad that we have so many devices all over the world, doing next to nothing, and yet still we stockpile servers in datacentres and use them to host our services.

As an investor though, that might not be why you want to invest, instead you might be looking to see if a project is a legitimate organisation or company (check – https://dadi.cloud/en/due-diligence), has a decent whitepaper that properly explains the technology behind the idea (check – http://dadi.link/iW), has an established team with relevant experience (check – https://dadi.cloud/en/team), has a realistic roadmap (check – https://dadi.cloud/en/roadmap), and perhaps even a track record of successful product delivery (check – https://dadi.tech/en).
