as I see in the road map, right now you have to release the main purse. Has it already happened? or when is it planned?

@everyone Found a bug which is messing up the stake rate for current APR (20.89%). I am working on a patch. Meantime, please shut down your wallet.

... do the math somethings bugged. If you think about it at 1.337% you should be getting over 5% of what you were at 20% but you're not
so if you were getting 6000-10,000 per stake at 20% surely you should be getting 300-500 per stake at 1.337%

11500000*0.01337= 153755
153755/3.6= 42709
42709/365= 117
you'd need to stake your input 117 times a day to get 1.337% apr for 11.5 million with rewards of 3.6

I know there are other factors such as weight but i have a lot of coins, they all stake at least once per day usually twice so its quite easy to estimate how many coins I should receive as a stake reward. for example my inputs are 150% the size of yours yet I received 2 coins per block then an input went missing so I resynced and the stakes from last night (of 2 coins each) are now orphans.

Also doesn't the new apr start next weekend?

Clean install using bootstrap and backed up wallet.dat worked flawlessly. Just had my first stake with new wallet and it seems the inflation problem is now a thing of the past, 11.5 mill block returned a stake of 3.6 Elite.

Got it updated and with 375 blocks left to sync.   It's good to remember when coins go big, the average user isn't a techie and would have a lot of problems doing these kinds of things, even though they seem simple to us.   Any step you can leave out, like having to install a bootstrap, is a big plus in an upgrade.

The prospects look very good for Elite coin moving forward with many new things coming later in the year. The dev just wanted to get this latest wallet update out the way so then he can concentrate on the gaming aspect of the coin. Some of us may use multiple old computers for staking so it makes it a hassle to have to open a lot of pages with browsers.  Taking the liberty of posting the page's instructions here:

Follow the steps below to update your wallet to latest version:

Close your old wallet (if its running)
Delete your old 1337-qt.exe (Windows), 1337-Qt.app (Mac), 1337-qt(Linux)
Go to your 1337 foder:
Windows: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\1337
Mac: /Users//Library/Application Support/1337_XXXXXXXXXX/drive_c/users//Application Data/1337
Linux: /home//.1337
Backup your wallet.dat (save it somewhere safe like external drive)
Delete everything except wallet.dat
Download latest wallet from our official website https://www.elitecurrency.net/wallets
Extract the latest wallet zip file.
Run the latest wallet. Elite-qt.exe (Windows), Elite-qt.app (Mac), Elite-qt (Linux)
Now close your latest wallet.
Download latest snapshot from our official website https://www.elitecurrency.net/wallets
Extract the downloaded Elite-Snapshot.zip file
Go back to your 1337 folder:   
Windows: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\1337
Mac: /Users//Library/Application Support/Elite_XXXXXXXXXX/drive_c/users//Application Data/1337
Linux: /home//.1337
Copy everything from your Elite-Snapshot folder to your 1337 folder
Restart your wallet.

If you do not see any connections, try the following:
Close your wallet.
Go to your 1337 folder above.
Create 1337.conf file and paste following:

Restart your wallet.

If you do not see your full balance upon restart, try the following:

Thanks for the update xenonflux, I'll be locking my wallet just before I go to bed so that I stop staking as if I do stake those stakes will be for nothing and I also don't want there to be any issues so I think its best that we all stop staking and not make any transactions leading up to the time the new wallet is about to be released. That way we are almost certain that we won't have any problems. Good luck dev with the release and I hope that it is a smooth transition over to the new wallet.

I just hope all goes well with the exchanges as I know they can sometimes take a long time to update their wallets, more so Cryptopia so hopefully it will be done quick.
