Hi guys! I have been around a long time without managing my virtual coins. I would like to hear from you about the hard forks if I have to do it for my Ella coins that are on myellawallet? I transfer to some exchange or can I leave them there?

Your coin is safe, no need to transfer it.
The hard-fork only to add features, quoted from ellaismer:
"* Enable WebAssembly: A low-level language aiming to be a replacement for EVM. This allows you to write smart contracts in any languages that compiles to WASM, including C/C++/Rust and more. It also has potential to be faster because of its better design. This hard fork, however, will mean that we need to discontinue multi-geth and go-ellaism support, due to our limited manpower. And Parity will probably be the only full node implementation that runs on Ellaism. https://github.com/ellaism/specs/blob/master/specs/2018-0003-wasm-hardfork.md
* Byzantium: Features in Ethereum's Byzantium hard fork, including zkSNARK, REVERT opcodes, and others. https://github.com/ellaism/specs/blob/master/specs/2018-0004-byzantium.md"

Thank you very much my friend, it was very clear.

Haven't been following Ellaism for quite a long time, not sure what's the team is working at right now.
Is there a stable standalone wallet for Windows for me to use? I don't trust MEW that much, to be honest...
You can try official ellaism wallet
https://github.com/ellaism/shell/releases
Does it require gigabytes of free hard-drive space to store the whole chain locally? Sorry for asking this but I'm quite limited space-wise
I assume you want to run a full node. Using parity i have a full node using 4gb for the blockchain database. I had a full node based on geth on a 20gb virtual private server and had to stop it due to lack of space.
Also it will support wasm (Web Assembly...) and other improvements. AFAIK Parity currently is the better choice to be compatible with the upcoming features (https://ellaism.org/news-update/).
Useful information for getting started with Ellaism node based on Parity can be found here: https://wiki.ellaism.org/clients/parity

Well, I think ELLA is a serious diamond in the rough. There aren’t many pure crypto decentralized projects these days, every main coin has become politics and whoever has the most hash controls everything. This coin changes that, it’s pure crypto like Satoshi himself intended. Decentralized, donation driven, community based, mineable etc, so yes this coins future is extremely bright imo. Smiley

Much better coins than this has been abandoned and left for dead. This coin has no future, it's just another clone that the cryptoworld has no use for. It will be dead soon.

Do not be this pessimistic mate, there are a lot of coins out there that are clones and are doing well. The thing that matters is the development and the community, as people don't care if is a clone or not like they do not care about the technology behind the projects.

Mining Ella is very close to not being profitable after electricity cost. Not to even mention wear and tare on your hardware components.

Ella just got even more pointless than before.

The whole market is down, when things go up, even Ellaism wil be more worth.
So, stop looking at electricity costs and look for oppertunities where you can mine more coins at the moment :-)

That would be an opportunity to make a loss when ella drops even further. Another thing is that if you mine ella you miss out on making a profit mining something else that IS PROFITABLE. Just go mine something else, end of story.

You can mine something else which is more profitable and buy ELLA with the BTC you gain. Or mine ELLA and hold the coins and hope for the price will rise.

Why on earth would anyone want to through their money away by buying Ella with their profits they made on other coins. Might just as well set the money on fire. LOL.
