A coinswap is crazy. Any new coin based off Espers can use the current coin addresses and mint new coins in the new chain into those addresses. It's the same thing that Clam and other coins have done to 'piggy back' off other people's ownership in another coin without requiring a fork or a coinswap.
Sending your Espers to some other team that pinky swears they'll burn them and never dump them is ludicrous when there are much more realistic and provably fair ways to branch a coin.

Oh, so the new ESP fork is ... not a fork? It needs to be swapped? Then I can't join that, I'd like to keep both coins.
What's going to happen if it is a swap, is people who want to go to the new altcoin are going to send their ESP to the other dev, and in turn they get their new ESP. (They should really just call it a different name). The new dev will then either burn all that ESP, or dump it on the market.

Or alternatively send them all to EXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX1234 (or whatever is the equivalent burn address for ESP.)

Well, burning swapped espers would ofcourse be good option, but I have heard that those Espers will be dumped on market.
Althou, I do not know the current situation since everyone that I have asked about it, does not have answers.
So I guess it is up to their dev to decide what he/she does with it.
But it is not up to us. Time will tell.

Congratz, good updates on ESPERS, I would love to have a new SWAP to improve the project and perhaps reduce the money to 500 million, would be more interesting, I am buying more espers ... if there is a reward campaign for the next month I'll be available to advertise your work!
The swap that is apparently happening has nothing to do with REAL Espres. You only give some other devs your Espers and receive coin that they make.

Hi, hey can someone please help? been trying to load the espers wallet got to 47 weeks behind and now when I try open the wallet it gives me an error saying error loading block database.

Hi Tyler.Durden! Download Espers Bootstrap from here: https://espers.io/downloads/ After extract the .zip files and replace them into your ESP folder located in %appdata%/ESP

Oh yes, I definitely agree with you. From my short experience in Discord, I was merely trying to state that there were things going on with the other side and tried to elucidate some haziness so that we could all get a clearer picture of things, and certainly not to attack any individuals. Things I suppose got out of hand. I'll continue to support Espers from the sidelines for now.

Sorry man, I'm sure we need every supporting voice we can get right now. People shouldn't be banned too quickly if they are making valuable contributions to the discussion. But people who continuously FUD or hate against CC (like above post by cri79pop) will be banned from Discord, because it doesn't contribute value. Personal harassment is not an opinion.

You are not a follower espers. You are infectious and you need to be healed. You can go back to your community that wants to make a swap. Only they will never do it.
