OK Alleet I think this is the problem . thanks for the picture now I know what to look for . next to the lock at the bottom right you have the connection icons I don't i have just a big X and when I hove over it it says 0 connections.

I disabled windows firewall but I am in a hotel in Kuala Lampur which I think this is not the problem i think the problem is I'm running it on Virtual Box on Linux Mint somehow ti's not going through even that on the virtual box i can get on the internet.

the interent is slow.

I have a dual boot so later when I have more time I'll book into Windows with no virtual box and try to install it there . I think iti's somthing with the connection becauase I also can't get icash to work even after I fixed that config file so my guess is connection maybe virtual box stops it somehow.

I think you are right the problem might be connection issue. You may try disconnecting from hotel wifi, and use your phone as mobile hotspot if you can and see the difference.

My wallet doesn't even have updated node list and it's running fine.

Make sure you are using updated version of the wallet and also make sure that you named your .conf file exactly as Espers.conf

Thanks @sy but I did do both Espers.conf and I got the latest version 0.8.6.6 patch (at least I think this is the latest).

Yes it is the good one. original name is ESP. There was a fork and they changed name for ESP2. Look at price. 11 sat.

First quit Espers-Qt app.

Then I think you open Macintosh HD > Users > YourUsername > Library > Application Support > ESP > Espers.conf

Drag Espers.conf file to TextEdit and paste in all those nodes at the bottom of ones already there in the file. Then save and re-open Espers-Qt.

So I closed the espers-qt exe then i went to the Windows roaming folder and found the expers.conf it had some nodes, i pasted at the end https://novaexchange.com/addnodes/ESP2/ all the nodes.

I then restarted the espers qt and nothing.

What am I supose to see something like saying it's syncing?

Maybe give it a few minutes.

I don't have a problem giving it a few minutes Adam but shouldn't it in big red say connected be patient I'm synching or something so I know that the nodes I pasted in the config file i did right? Would that make sense?

How do I know it's working or not where do I look to make sure it's connected and doing it's thing?

Thank you adam but I followed to that folder, there isn't an ESPER folder. Am I supposed to install the bootstrap thing somewhere? Is there a guide I can just follow?

(If I show package contents from espers-qt, there is a qt.conf, I can't find an esper.conf whether in library application support or under normal applications)

(win*.*) press win+r -> enter %appdata%->enter ESP directory, edit esper.conf or copy con espers.conf-> edit it entering addnode=ip of node:port , like this

addnode=104.237.0.79:22448
addnode=198.245.50.213:22448
addnode=85.255.7.224:22448
addnode=120.24.217.96:22448
save it , run wallet -> have a nice time
