No halving is nothing new. Joincoin has it for example. Not sure it can be called a feature. Maybe just a characteristic.

Definitely just a charactaristic... Btw jump in slack bud!
Can you provide the slack url?

Sorry our slack is semi exclusive to Active community members who have proven to care deeply about the Espers project. we encourage positive behavior by allowing members into a backroom to better discuss developments with other highly valued members. if you would like to join please send us a request and your account will be reviewed regarding the activity of Espers.

Why? You don't need to self-compile - multiple CPU instruction sets can be supported by branching at runtime.

Simple answer I din't know you could and don't know how. Many precompiled cpu miners come with multiple EXEs in the
package targetted to different architectures, yours only support AES_NI and cpuminer-multi doesn't use any SSE2 or AES_NI
optimizations. It's hard to find an example to copy.

no halving? this should be talked about more as it makes espers special and more fair to late comers than other altcoins(until other coins copy the idea).  I can already imagine people solo mining Espers at a higher price hoping to win the 50k Esper "lottery" is that max 500 billion hard cap or some small amounts added always? native 64 bit version? i think yes?

im wondering what the halving schedule is for Espers?

There is no halving.

has anyone compiled a working sgminer  hmq1725 for windows 64 bit yet?

Would you like a native 64 bit version? The 32 bit version is known to run faster than the 64 bit one and is already built by us

@Everyone -

Sorry guys some of us passed out last night despite our best efforts. Back on the job though. Will be in touch. Expect the new client to be released over this weekend.

I think so. but not absolute sure about that.

BTW! Does anyone get into supranova pool?

Been busy for a couple of days and fell behind reading this thread.

cpuminer-opt works with 64 bit CPUs with AES_NI and with only SSE2 but you only
get the high speed if the CPU has AES_NI. It will tell you at startup what it is using.

But this only applies if you compile it yourself for your architecture. Precompiled binaries
only support one architecture.

A non AES_NI would need to be compiled on CPUs like the core2 or some lower end Celerons.
If it compiles on Windows for AES_NI it should also compile for SSE2.

I always recommend compiling yourself for best performance. I am thrilled that ctgiant has it
working with mingw, no propriatary software required.

I fully support ctgiant and his efforts to open up cpuminer-opt to windows users and will follow up
with the hodl issue. It appears hodl fails to compile with newer versions of gcc, probaly the reason
it didn't work for ctgiant.

I´m sorry if this was asked already before but can anybody tell me how to solo mine ESP?
Is it even worth mining solo CPU only?
I´m new to this coin.

Best regards.

I think you would have more chance on a pool. You can try https://esp.suprnova.cc register and then check the help/getting started.
