guys can you please explain the etc advantages to eth? there are lots of arguement about that. i like and believe etc, but i do not know why can i trust:)

ETC has a Cap of 210 - 230 mil
ETH no cap
ETC is decentralized
ETH is centralized
ETC didn't change time by turning their Blockchain back
ETH "Did" change time by turning their Blockchain back

yes, eth is centralized and i think is getting more gov't approval so i guess it'll be gov't regulated soon. when that happens, i suppose it won't grow as much in value anymore as it'll be controlled? by then, maybe most eth users will realize that etc could be the best of the two since it is the original ethereum and is decentralized - and maybe by then, it'll breakout and go past eth's market value.

if not mistaken eth is 110m cap but they can decide to mine more...right?

i see corporate blockchain go mainstream next year: Ripple, eth and zcash, maybe factom and also private blockchain without token. 3 main community blockchain like btc, etc, monero and a zcash fork token.

eth will go PoS at the end of this year, with no cap

ETH is centralized by Vitalk and troopers.
ETC is also centralized by Charls H. and his troopers.

Am I wrong?  Cool Cool Cool

well, if you put it that way then bitcoin is centralized by its core developers and litecoin is centralized by charlie lee  Grin

but that's not what i meant about a coin being centralized. eth has been edited to make up for the coins it lost in the dao. vitalik tweeted some time ago that eth will just fork again if any mishaps happen to eth and so some users taunted that eth be renamed forkcoin... i will have to look for that comment so i can add it as reference here. anyway, as for the other coins, they are decentralized as none did what eth has done...

I am not an expert but ETC is ETH that is completely decentralized. Next point worth mentioning would be that the supply of ETC is capped while it is not the case with ETH. You can google up the ETC monetary policy to know more.
Personally, I support both ETC and ETH. I got exposure in both. I just want to see Block chain tech making the world a better place. Don't care who does it.

Did ethereum classic any sense smart contract appear, or is it just an asset for mining and speculation?

ETC is a complete version from ETH and current ICO projects developed are based on the technology platform of the ETH

Ethereum is a centralized piece of shit, but that doesn't mean the price won't keep going up. Just look at Ripple which is 1000x worse.

I believe that ethereum has no future and that etc is the future, but I still regret selling all my ethereum at $30 only to watch it rise to like $250+.
ETC is copying all the work of those "piece of shit" ETH developers and you are talking about that "ethereum has no future"?
What a fine example of delusional perception of reality.

I guess it's a lesson in not letting ideology get in the way of profit
Looks like you still haven't learned your lesson.  Wink

BTW: Those 3,36 millions of ETCs (current value more than 69 mio USD) from the DAO hack are still sitting around and waiting to hit exchanges...
https://gastracker.io/addr/0x5e8f0e63e7614c47079a41ad4c37be7def06df5a

PS: As a copy cat coin, ETC is still overvalued. On average copy cats are running at 2.5% value of their original parents (BTC->LTC, LTC->FTC, ETH->EXP, LISK->RISE) So there is still lot of hot air in ETC prices...

ETC doesn't quite fit into that mold for the copycat coins, being the original of the two.

The ETH vs ETC bantering I come across seems like good reading since interesting points are brought up.
They both seem to fit the same purpose though, except one you know has immutability, the other not.
Depending on the application/circumstances, each may have it's strong points.

Anyway...about the DAO hack.
It would be good to see that currency accounted for, one way or another, and I believe the uncertainty regarding this is holding ETC back.

I happened to be browsing these forums during a dump of about 8% of the total AUR (the stolen funds from Cryptsy),
It got gobbled up and seemed to help that currency's stability, now worth about 3x as much compared to before.

The stolen funds from UNO were accounted for in a different manner (auction).
Once again, about 8% of the total coins.
Uno picked up and is now maybe 20x after that happened.

The DAO hack was way less in proportion than the above examples.
Having those accounted for resulting in having uncertainties removed, might just be what ETC needs.

With enough hard work and strategy ETC will reach its deserved position and hopefully it will be worth more than ETH.

Wishful thinking instead of sober analysis of situation.
Really fascinating how delusion is able distorting view...

Is this joke?  The OP has 1-3 working explorer of 25? Can someone fix it?

Also what is the block subsidy and when is the next reduction?

I hate inflation.
