Ethereum is a centralized piece of shit, but that doesn't mean the price won't keep going up. Just look at Ripple which is 1000x worse.

I believe that ethereum has no future and that etc is the future, but I still regret selling all my ethereum at $30 only to watch it rise to like $250+.
ETC is copying all the work of those "piece of shit" ETH developers and you are talking about that "ethereum has no future"?
What a fine example of delusional perception of reality.

I guess it's a lesson in not letting ideology get in the way of profit
Looks like you still haven't learned your lesson.  Wink

BTW: Those 3,36 millions of ETCs (current value more than 69 mio USD) from the DAO hack are still sitting around and waiting to hit exchanges...
https://gastracker.io/addr/0x5e8f0e63e7614c47079a41ad4c37be7def06df5a

PS: As a copy cat coin, ETC is still overvalued. On average copy cats are running at 2.5% value of their original parents (BTC->LTC, LTC->FTC, ETH->EXP, LISK->RISE) So there is still lot of hot air in ETC prices...

ETC doesn't quite fit into that mold for the copycat coins, being the original of the two.

The ETH vs ETC bantering I come across seems like good reading since interesting points are brought up.
They both seem to fit the same purpose though, except one you know has immutability, the other not.
Depending on the application/circumstances, each may have it's strong points.

Anyway...about the DAO hack.
It would be good to see that currency accounted for, one way or another, and I believe the uncertainty regarding this is holding ETC back.

I happened to be browsing these forums during a dump of about 8% of the total AUR (the stolen funds from Cryptsy),
It got gobbled up and seemed to help that currency's stability, now worth about 3x as much compared to before.

The stolen funds from UNO were accounted for in a different manner (auction).
Once again, about 8% of the total coins.
Uno picked up and is now maybe 20x after that happened.

The DAO hack was way less in proportion than the above examples.
Having those accounted for resulting in having uncertainties removed, might just be what ETC needs.

A Coin A Day Keeps The Cold Away.
With enough hard work and strategy ETC will reach its deserved position and hopefully it will be worth more than ETH.

Wishful thinking instead of sober analysis of situation.
Really fascinating how delusion is able distorting view...

Is this joke?  The OP has 1-3 working explorer of 25? Can someone fix it?

Also what is the block subsidy and when is the next reduction?

I hate inflation.

Hey i have 3 etc currently.

I checked and saw there is many wallet.

What would be best easy to use wallet to keep my etc safe for long term?

Best regards,

vifzor

You should look into jaxx wallet. Smiley

Do you have another alternative?

em classicetherwallet.com this one has some good reviews too, do some research on this one

What about https://www.myetherwallet.com/ ?
Is it recommended?
https://www.myetherwallet.com/ it's a good wallet but for Ethereum (and ethereum Token) not for Ethereum Classic. For Ethereum Classic use https://classicetherwallet.com

I've been little away from the news the DAO hardfork nightmare. since then, the hacker got ETH(ot ETC?) exchanged to real money? Or still holding?

I am curious about it. anyone knows how it concluded?   Huh

etc is gaining more volume and its current price is more then 20$ now
and rising i think etc price should half of the eth coin price
according to the polo exchange etc is already 17% up from the last 24 hours
and yes i agree with ecoin_org

powerful move by ETC that could make is capping the supply at just 100k more ETC than currently released, rather than 300% dilution at 210 Million.  Just literally stop new production with only 100k more and the value of existing ETC would skyrocket and it will give the world a sneak peak at what happens when supply runs out on a major market cap cryptocurrency.

It is no longer an ETH vs ETC story. ETH is climbing with HUGE amounts of direct currency inflows from USD, CNY, KRW... Ethereum Classic still needs BTC/ETC trading for the most part.

That's not true, biggest volume % is on ETC/KRW pair. just look at it on coinmarketcap.

It is no longer an ETH vs ETC story. ETH is climbing with HUGE amounts of direct currency inflows from USD, CNY, KRW... Ethereum Classic still needs BTC/ETC trading for the most part.  I believe it's best to invest in more than one and while ETC can climb in market cap easily, Ethereum should not be underestimated either. I recommend NOT picking sides.  Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic are all good investments for long term appreciation.  At the same time, if you are just joining the party, you have to average into them SLOW at this point, the world is sort of going insane for crypto and no one knows when major profit taking will hit.

I think a powerful move ETC could make is capping the supply at just 100k more ETC than currently released, rather than 300% dilution at 210 Million.  Just literally stop new production with only 100k more and the value of existing ETC would skyrocket and it will give the world a sneak peak at what happens when supply runs out on a major market cap cryptocurrency.

If you agree the supply should be capped almost as it stands, please regurgitate this belief on the forums, to the core developers, to the miners, etc.  ETC should be hard stopped now, let the DAO hacker dump out his investment (theft) however you want to look at it, let the currency mature from there.
