Excuse me, maybe I don't understand so I repeat the question.

Cannot this be dumped to nothing by VitalikEther followers?

1)   they have balances in ETHClassic and they will dump them
2)  they can mine ETHClassic with their equipment and they will dump.

They love money, so it will be stupid to sell for cents if you can sell for millions.

I am really curious to see how the DAO hacker reacts with this. If he is a smart and ethical person and not a total idiot he would commit to either supporting ETC and returning part of the money or using it for funding or something. It's in his interest and we have to admit ETC has a good decentralized crypto-anarchist heart

Very strong sentiment even in https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/

Wait until ethf has to fork again, vitalik gets a court order, etc. ETC is immune and will function forever with no centralization.

The economically stronger fork kills weaker fork. However honest the weaker fork can be

OK the chain is finally synched and the pool is up:

https://etc.suprnova.cc

please add to OP, thx !

Hi will this pool work with nicehash if so what are the settings. Thanks

Not yet, i've seen nicehash has added support for a new stratum variant, i spent half weekend getting support for the old variant and i'm now restarting my work to get the new variant working.. I think in 1-2 days it'll be done.

However you can use MRR (Mining Rig Rentals) until then.

Thanks

Let me see if I get this right:

I have lots of ethereum since months, if now I start one Ethereum client with the option YES, I can start ethereum classic and I will be able to spend the same coins on both chains?

So anyone now is able to spend their ethereums 2 times if they had ethereums before the fork?

Read the Yes/No options carefuly. Yes is fork, No is classic.

And yes, if you had ethereum before the fork you will be able to spend those coins on both chains.

How do I do this right without messing it all up?

1. I start the normal ethereum, I select the YES option

2. I install ethereum classic and I copy the keysote files to the ethereum classic keystore folder

3. I send transaction from the normal ethereum to my ETH address on polo

4. I send transaction from the ethereum classic to my ETC address on polo

5. I can sell both?

Roughly - yes. There is however a risk of a replay attack when you send the coins so make sure you understand that part. Unfortunately I can't help you much there as I don't have any forked ETHs and didn't have to worry about that.

Will all this works if my ETH are in Kraken and I try to send them to "normal (YES) ethereum" wallet?

ETC is only getting started. We're all stacking while the price is low.

I see that the Ethereum classic is gathering momentum. Why don't you recruit your compatriots from the other side of the fence to start pointing their miners to the original chain.
