Nanopool is always legit. And their servers are more robust than most.

I can confirm that Nanopool work heaps better with nice hash, both the  EU  and USA

I am  seeing that these pool are stopping and crashing every 15 min on EU

uk1.epool.io:8008 is the only one working ok on the USA but it dipping every 15 min

Would be reasonable to try to solo mine ETC with GTX1070 ? Would you recommend any good starting point ?

What is the latest news on the Chinese guy Chandler Guo? He threatened Ethereum classic that he will do a 51% attack on it and even posted a photo of himself with his mining farm. Do you think he will really do it? Isn't more profitable for him to instead mine and earn ETC and ETH side by side? What is his motivation?

I have a feeling that it is possible that he is paid by one of Ethereum Foundation cohorts to wreak havoc on Ethereum classic.

Lol!! Yeah...let's fork, you know because we're involved with big time business people that don't like theft...then we're going to publicly announce that we're going to attack another group in the community in order to ruin they're currency because they believe when we said no do overs that we should not go back on our word a few months later and throw the one thing in crypto that's solid right out the window...for our own financial benefit lol!!! Way to earn their respect...and awesome job representing the crypto community and not making us look shady at all.

I think that threat came and went already.  His miners are all rented out to cloud miners and from that pic it looks like the algorithm is all wrong anyway. SHA 265 rather than Ethhash

Whatch out with pool.ethereumclassic.com, rigs did whole night and nothing earned.

Yeah they havent paid anyone yet, dont think theyre gonna pay.

Pretty good scam going on there, they have raked in a good $9'000 in just a few short days and likely to be even more.

Nano is up and running now and they have always been good.

Never expected this to take off like it is, personally I think the support will only grow from here.  Look at the huge positive, we can finally get eth er etc coins much cheaper and this chain could overtake the forked one.   There really is no reason that it should not being this is the original chain that sticks to its core values.

Maybe ETH will win just off the back of wallet availability.  https://www.whattomine.com show ETC is more profitable than ETH at the moment.  But not by much.  I would sooner mine ETC but have no choice other than to mine ETH if i want to make money.

I would love to mine ETC but have no wallet.  I don't want to download the whole blockchain and have ethereum running on my computer again.  I started mining ETH solo to a geth instance way back but ended up mining ETH (up until the fork) at nanopool using a web based wallet MyEtherWallet.com but that is ETH yes?

You can try using a Poloniex deposit address for mining. Normally I would advice against using exchanges as wallets but this shitty blockchain that takes days to sync is getting on my nerves too.

If I mine to an exchange address they will charge me for each deposit.
As I will be pool mining and the payments will be small and frequent, the exchange will take a large chunk.

There needs to be a lite wallet if you want people to support Classic.  Can we get MyEtherWallet.com on board?

I don't want to support ETH and am currently mining at eth.nanopool.org.
I will swap my hashpower to  point at feathercoin until there is a "lite" wallet for ETC... but as soon as this happens I will pool mine ETC 24/7 at etc.nanopol.org  You have my support.

No doubt, fuck that dude and his stolen coins, that's crypto...you don't pack up your morals and everything people have worked hard to build because of one ordeal. Guess what, there's gonna be plenty more. What are they gonna do fork everytime they lose? Then what? Call a meeting and try and police crypto and decide who gets a bail out and who doesnt? Nah man...fuck all that.
