The topic of Ethereum has become more crowded in recent hours. What's wrong with Ethereum, please tell me. If you think there is something wrong with Ethereum, please tell me which altcoins will replace Ethereum at the second position in the crypto area. Ripple, nope. Bitcoin Cash, nope. TRON, nope. So, which one in your opinion?

I don't see anything strange happening... or rather... I see nothing is happening with Ethereum's developement! But maybe I just haven't done my research so nvm.
But let me remind you that XRP and ETH have been trading the 2nd position a few times now.

I do see Ethereum brought lots of positive things to the crypto market, and at some period the coin and its ecosystem played important role to boost crypto market upwards exponentially.
nothing is wrong with ethereum its just whole market is facing bearish move just, just calm down and wait, soon market will recover and prices will go up again. and i think there is still no coin that replace eth. like no crypto can replace BTC still

But you people still have time to mine the current amount as after a few years you will again regret the current time that why you not mined and saved in 2019 as after a few years the value of it will increase and then with the difficulty you will not be able to mine that much which you are mining today.

But what if in a few years it costs $ 5 for 1 ethereum?
We don’t know where the market will go and let ethereum and top 2 but it's still an altcoin whose price is strongly tied to bitcoin.

You know that crypto market is quite unstable and all currencies may cost any sum in the future. But there are some basic coins today ETH, LTC, BTC.. They have the biggest trust from financial analysts for now.
So I don`t really expect that main advanced coins may cost $5.

Maybe XRP will one day cost $5! Roll Eyes
It's not so much a matter of Ethereum being tied to BTC's price, it's more like the overall sentiment is the same for every cryptocurrency.
After all, the ETH buyers are also the BTC buyers, everyone is on the same community.
January 3 will be phase 0 for Ethereum 2.0. Everyone knows this, and will there be preliminary growth? There is a lot of news, but they do not affect the price.
In a week there will be a Devcon, and I think a lot of new information will be poured on us - but even it will not affect the current price.

I knew of ETHEREUM when it was pennies on the dollar and was so stupid that I didn't buy at the time a few thousand to keep for a better day. So many people have become very wealthy just because they bought ETH when it was dirt cheap. I don't know now if there is any chance to make that kind of wealth again in the Cryptosphere. I personally think those days are over now and those huge gains were made by the early adopters who just bought a few bags and then saw their investment skyrocket. I believe though the technology is here to stay and maybe in the future, we might have some good projects off of the Ethereum network that might make a few people happy financially, but it's those who invested in ETH early, who are the real winners here. At least we can congratulate their foresight at least if anything.

Yes unfortunately we miss investing in some excellent get-rich opportunities such as Ethereum and sometimes invest in fraudulent projects instead.

It is all part of the learning process.

i remember a friend of mine telling me back then to buy eth and price was between $10-$15 there about and i said to him - that coin already too expensive to invest on he should forget about it and buy something cheaper..... Damn! if only i could see future or have a time travel machine, but now it feels there are no such great project that are cheap to invest on, 2017 was really a great year for those who took full advantage of it, hope we can see better years ahead.
I ctually bought eth at 13$ but since i am afraid i only bough 1 pcs of eth . and im not able to get rich with only 1 pcs . i wish i investt all my money that time and sell it in 2017 .

Hindsight is a bitch alright. I had 300 ETH bought in the ICO, I sold all around $3 each and I thought I was a genius with all that  600% profit. And then years later on even with this Ethereum downtrend, I wish I waited for much longer.

I feel you.. I remember mining 0.5 coins/day. What I wouldn't give to have all of those coins back today. You just never really know what's going to happen. I ended up doing alright with the coins I mined, but I too ended up selling them at like $5. Just looking at my old wallet and realizing I was mining close to $100/day at the time makes me sick.
I experienced similar feelings during mining. Then I remember well in 7 days exactly 2 Monero came out. And I sold them for about $ 10 (fall 16). And then everything suited me and I was pleased. Now I'm sick.

I look forward to the days when I believed so much in the massive growth of EThereum. The days when I HOLD Ethereum from 15 USD/token to 100USD/token. Ethereum ecosystem deserves a professional review and non-monopolization of the ideology by the visioneer. This crypto-asset still have a good space for growth far beyond 1000 USD/Eth.  And with consistency and efficient development, it will get to it proposed destination

Think about it, if ETH was purchased at $1 years ago for example and then it hit $100 you can make a lot of profit out of it by buying at loq prices but if you buy at $15 or $100 then you would have to invest heavily to buy enough before you can make a decent profit.

Those that purchased at the ICO price or early from exchanges after the ICO ended and then held on to them without getting tempted to sell at $10, $20 $50, $100 milestones must be very happy with their investment.

The hardest part is not getting tempted to sell, maybe if I had bought some good amount  of eth at 1$ and I watch back in 2017 as eth rose to $50 - $100....., I know would have sold long ago, because the temptation wouldn't let it go,
that is why many will find it difficult to make good profit in crypto, the ability to restrain yourself from selling is low,
It is very easy to say hodl but very difficult to actually hodl and not sell when the price is high,  even right now same thing can still happen when market recovers and at it's peak, it is very hard to hodl when the price is so high from your buying point.

I don't completely agree, I just like to put myself in a situation where I am an early investor and I would not feel happy.
For example, I bought ETH at 1 usd then its price rises to $1,000 and still didn't sell, I think I would have make a big regret seeing the current price now.

Not everyone thinks the same, so you can also consider my example.

Sorry to read about your investment mistake. We all make them, we cannot win them all. Sometimes we sell early and sometimes we hold on to them for too long.

Do you remember how much you paid in the ICO for the 300 ETH?
It should be around $90 - $100. As far as i know, the ico price of ethereum was around $0.31
This is a very old ico but some new sites have already made the detail of ethereum ico like this one https://icodrops.com/ethereum/
It looks like ethereum ico is not offering a bonus mechanism for early investors or i may wrong about that because there's only a little information about that but it does not specifically explain a lot about ethereum ico and there's a bonus mechanism or not.
