Hindsight is a bitch alright. I had 300 ETH bought in the ICO, I sold all around $3 each and I thought I was a genius with all that  600% profit. And then years later on even with this Ethereum downtrend, I wish I waited for much longer.

Sorry to read about your investment mistake. We all make them, we cannot win them all. Sometimes we sell early and sometimes we hold on to them for too long.

Do you remember how much you paid in the ICO for the 300 ETH?
It should be around $90 - $100. As far as i know, the ico price of ethereum was around $0.31
This is a very old ico but some new sites have already made the detail of ethereum ico like this one https://icodrops.com/ethereum/
It looks like ethereum ico is not offering a bonus mechanism for early investors or i may wrong about that because there's only a little information about that but it does not specifically explain a lot about ethereum ico and there's a bonus mechanism or not.

I look forward to the days when I believed so much in the massive growth of EThereum. The days when I HOLD Ethereum from 15 USD/token to 100USD/token. Ethereum ecosystem deserves a professional review and non-monopolization of the ideology by the visioneer. This crypto-asset still have a good space for growth far beyond 1000 USD/Eth.  And with consistency and efficient development, it will get to it proposed destination

I knew of ETHEREUM when it was pennies on the dollar and was so stupid that I didn't buy at the time a few thousand to keep for a better day. So many people have become very wealthy just because they bought ETH when it was dirt cheap. I don't know now if there is any chance to make that kind of wealth again in the Cryptosphere. I personally think those days are over now and those huge gains were made by the early adopters who just bought a few bags and then saw their investment skyrocket. I believe though the technology is here to stay and maybe in the future, we might have some good projects off of the Ethereum network that might make a few people happy financially, but it's those who invested in ETH early, who are the real winners here. At least we can congratulate their foresight at least if anything.

Yes unfortunately we miss investing in some excellent get-rich opportunities such as Ethereum and sometimes invest in fraudulent projects instead.

It is all part of the learning process.

i remember a friend of mine telling me back then to buy eth and price was between $10-$15 there about and i said to him - that coin already too expensive to invest on he should forget about it and buy something cheaper..... Damn! if only i could see future or have a time travel machine, but now it feels there are no such great project that are cheap to invest on, 2017 was really a great year for those who took full advantage of it, hope we can see better years ahead.
I ctually bought eth at 13$ but since i am afraid i only bough 1 pcs of eth . and im not able to get rich with only 1 pcs . i wish i investt all my money that time and sell it in 2017 .

Guys, how minimum i need to have ETH to pos, then it starts

Vitalik said 1000 ETH initially but you can join a pool with a lower amount. After sharding Close to 10 ETH.  But I think individually it will be tough to get ETH from POS. ETH founders & devs holding over millions of ETH. Big exchanges holding over 100 millions of ETH, Pretty sure they will stake their ETH too and then comes the big mining pools so it will be even tough to make a fraction of ethers from staking.

I would rather join a trusted pool. it will not worth it unless you have a heavy load of eth bags.

Here I thought my few ETHs would be enough to get started on PoS network of Ethereum lol. But not in my wildest dreams I can go to anywhere near that 1000 ETH requirement lol.
There will be much less ETH than 1000. But even if there is 1000, then decentralized pools will quickly appear where there will be those who do not have enough coins.

The point is how to secure investor funds if they decide to join staking pools? There are lots of scam Proof of stake/ masternode coins and scam masternode hosting platforms, GINcoin eg. which scam-exited without a single line of announcement of platform shutdown on their website.

Ethereum is a long-history and good reputable coin, with good supports from its own-built feature, smart contract. Anyway, I think investors have to take care of their small funds and read scam preventive mechanisms of any pools they want to join and put their funds in.

Do not reproach ourselves for being stupid, we are sometimes strong in hindsight, and it is always very easy to trade on the left side of the price chart, but on the right side there is always uncertainty. It was pretty hard to predict the hype around the tokensales. Smiley

Seriously dude, unless you have millions of dollars and not give a shit, you think you would have held a thousand Ethereum from the price of pennies all the way up to a hundred? You would have sold all at 1-10$ as everyone else did.

Now there is definitely no information. In the best case, ordinary holders will be able to profit from PIC no earlier than 2021. But there is no final information yet. And as for the number of coins, it will be 1000 or 32 - I think there will be decentralized pools where several participants with small balances will gather.
POS/POW Bitcoin already has hundreds of younger brothers. From relatives. They will die from their father 's connection to the children. (POW) by genetics, a child may have problems. When merging two similar genotypes of parents, which is often the case with relatives, the child will take all the worst sides of them.... INCEST

yes, be patients. crypto will recovering, just watch. i've seen many times the sky is falling scenario

Looks like today crypto-space is recovering a little bit after past few nights of constant dumping. Hopefully, this is going to continue and I can sleep at night little bit more peacefully and not constantly wake up to check CMC or blockfolio lol.

It's very hard to look at market during this period when it seems everything is crashing down, but from my experience back in 2018, am a bit relax now than before because eventually the market will always find a a way to recover, I don't think people will ever get use to seeing market this way, but is part of market behavior.
