If someone can point me to a (working) hashing Module in C or python for ETH it would surely speed up creating a pool.

Unfortunately the ethash repo is not working for me for several reasons, one being because it relies on so many includes.

How about collaborating with this guy on reddit ?

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/3ha4os/anyone_willing_to_test_a_new_pool/

Already msged' him .. Lets see.

I've got a bit further, as I've got a working hashing module in C now by tweaking some sources.

I'm now stuck on the diff retarget, hope to get closer soon.

hey as well all know ethpool is currently closed for new miners so I've put together a solution for a new pool.

however I am not entirely certain if this pool is 100% functional yet, so I need people to mine to it until we get a block. unfortunately my solo hashrate is only 20mh so I would expect it take awhile alone.

the problem is that I have not yet finished payout scripts so essentially any mining you do will be free... please pm me for pool information!

and yes this is the same post as the one on reddit found here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/3ha3pd/looking_for_miners_to_alpha_test_new_pool/

to keep things efficient I will be sending everyone a time to start their miners so we can get the most hashing power in the shortest amount of time. this will probably happen at around 6pm EST 8/17/2015 unless my 20mh magically finds a block by then.

It took me a few hours to set up a box for mining , gimme a break with all the guides out there for windows, linuix, OS2 etc if you cant set up a node and Ethminer

pointed towards it in farm mode.  I could set up a pool myself by I don't need the headache of DDOS attacks etc , if anything go on the forums and pay a bounty for

someone to help you get set up, it was actually quite a bit of fun figuring things out and setting up my Ubuntu go-ethereum environment.

Hi,

I wonder why the Ethereum devs went on a completely new protocol for mining and not support the industry standard stratum protocol for mining? And furthermore, are there any plans for adding the stratum protocol for pooled mining of Eths? This would definitely broaden the options for mining, more pools would be available, the mining itself would be more decentralized and new mining software could probably emerge on the basis of existing projects (from existing crypto coins). So why reinventing the wheel on a task as simple as mining is? Please share some information on this topic.

Kind regards,
kenshirothefist

I think they care for mining with zero respect, ethereum is soon to be POS only, it was the plan from start

@ocminer
Maybe there is something here:
https://github.com/ethereum/cpp-ethereum/blob/develop/ethminer/MinerAux.h#L472

Saw that already  but that does Not help Unfortunately.

When is pow to be over?

Never back down !!!
At least the shilling and sockpupets, the constant $5 nonsense of the high school student is gone from here.
As I said, I am a long time supporter of the Ethereum project, but the pathetic shilling in this thread does no good for Ethereum.

Regarding IBM's ADEPT, that subject is quite frequently appears in this thread, especially the under 16 community members like to quote that when they envision the $5 price, go to the GadgetCoin thread and you can get a better picture what Internet of Things and ADEPT is, what is feasible terms of the blockchain, smart contracts and IoT, etc.

And you think you are better?
Maybe you should show me one post of yours without your gadget/tile-shitcoins shilling.

Here we go... As there is a deficit of  available pools, access to ethpool.org for newcomers is being offered for a bribe.  Roll Eyes This is not nice!  Angry

Did you invested a big amount of BTC and you don't remember the password?  Huh Huh Huh

I found on Reddit some people that same as me dont have password,

As far i know they just gave me Adress where I need send my BTC,
and then I recived on my email only JSON file,

and I was waiting till today with this file,
Im so pissed off,

If there is any solution then I will reward the one who can help,
if there is no solution then I lost a big amount of BTC

Did you download the ethconsole?  Did you try typing this in the ethconsole:  eth --import-presale /path/to/my/presale.wallet

I'm also wondering where are more ETH pools. Currently, it looks like ETH is unfriendly to the new miners, and extremely centralized. Solo mining is unpractical for the majority of small miners, pool mining is denied. What to do?

Start a new pool. Charge fee. Get rich.
