YES--

With the wallet, and with Ethminer (~2X wallet hashing speed).  Check the CryptoMining Blog.       --scryptr

Hmmm....a little complicated at the moment....several command lines open all at once.  Anybody know where I can find a list of the method/function calls?

@Benjig
Can you give me one example which usable "thing" NOW @ethereum gona bring $$ to it?? just prove me what is backed by 100 million $ market cap!?

pls no some kid graphs, I wana real usage which someone gona pay with $$ now!

also pls don`t forget 99% is premined!

Ethereum is on the verge of "exploding", while right now there is not much use for it, with the team and projects behind it, I can be sure it will get all those "uses" you want.

Keep waiting until its used everywhere to buy it... you will be alike those who din't buy BTC below $50 because there was not enough "uses".

You are a hero member, you should know this already.

I agree that ETH is on the verge - But on the other hand Bitcoin wants to adapt smart contracts.
I'm not sure if it will be a race between these two "coins" - I can well imagine Ether overtaking Bitcoin, but I can also imagine Ether failing in terms of adaption.

It's hard to say... but aside from hype/price/adoption i favour buying and checking out what's possible and how it works and what projects there are for Ether. I very much would like to see a true voting/statistic system ... like "What's your general income" or "pre-presidental elections" ... something like Gallup ... but asking everybody around the world.

Does not make sense for Bitcoin to implement the features ETH has. Not to mention its not possible and will not ever happen.

Bitcoin is digital gold. It was the first. It backs this entire eco system. I see it always having value and not competing with ETH. Your heads in the wrong place. The coins are not competing and are not in a race.

Does anyone have recommendations for good, cheap cloud service/remote vm/etc.?

I want to mine, but can't leave my PC on indefinitely - and don't have the money for a good AWS/google vm account (i think).  Any ideas on where I should go with this?

And what is next phase in ethereum, POW gona end WHEN??
Miner got <1% and that gona end up soon, so then primined ppl which almost got it for free will have even more... where is there a decentralization???

20-30 ppl holding >60M eth

It looks to me miners are just lured to ETH do trade dump/pump and give their hard earned BTC for some primined future

When does POW stop and POS start .......?

Ethereum isn't ready for you yet; it's not ready for end-user use.

Imagine the first two computers were just networked together and you're there saying "where's Facebook? does it even have GMail?" and missing the whole point.

Prices below 0.01 is something even better than what we can call "opportunity"... this coin has the potential to reach number 2 on coinmarketcap easily.

The real success of ethereum doesn't have to go in line with market cap or price/ETH, as it was designed to act as functional token (fuel) not to be just a speculative investment or store of value (infinite supply).

Yes, it could easily get to 2nd place on CMC, but I don't think it will be any time soon. The pre-sale price/ether was only around $0.31 or BTC0.0005, so it's reasonable to assume that people who bought in then are waiting for the right time to dump (at least partially) to get their ROI (and possibly many of them may not yet know that you can already trade ETH).

And don't forget the supply will double in the next year and miners will be dumping too.

To deposit your presale wallet, visit http://bittrex.com/balance/ethereum.

To deposit from another exchange, please check that they support IBAN addresess. Funds sent from an exchange that does NOT support IBAN addresses will be lost.

can anyone explain this deposit method pls
and which exchange does support IBAN addresess beside bittrex?
thx

https://blog.ethereum.org/2015/03/02/gavs-ethereum-d%CE%BEv-update-v/ says:

Quote
I also finished the first draft of ICAP, the Ethereum Inter-exchange Client Address Protocol, an IBAN-compatible system for referencing and transacting to client accounts aimed to streamline the process of transfering funds, worry-free between exchanges and, ultimately, make KYC and AML pains a thing of the past. The IBAN compatibility may even provide possibility of easy integration with existing banking infrastructure in some future.

IBAN is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Bank_Account_Number

Prices below 0.01 is something even better than what we can call "opportunity"... this coin has the potential to reach number 2 on coinmarketcap easily.
comparing it to actual number 2 and 3 let's see:

Number 2 is Ripple..

Not much to say about this... new and good protocol but all the features get down because it's just a simple PREMINE (ripple team starting having 99% of all coins), this new age of internet must be focused on decentralization not just adapting the out of date corporations like banks to its internet form.

And number 3 is Litecoin..

Less to say about this one: It's just a copy clone of bitcoin currently pumped only by the Chinese market until once they can realize it offers really nothing vs Bitcoin.. and even less vs Ethereum.

So i'm just giving some advice for the people that maybe still don't know what Ethereum Is and will Be.

Im sorry, i didn't read it.

You are wrong.

Top-right bar show last 24 hours.

The graph 1-day shows since 12:00 AM.

Maybe read my post 2 up from yours.

There was a bug at poloniex with their 1-day chart. I reported it. They fixed it.

... THIS IS MY LAST WARNING ....
Can you really really promise that this is your last warning?

INCOMING: $3 USD WITHIN THE NEXT 72 HOURS!
I realise that probably represents a whole week's pocket money for you, but I seriously doubt an extra $3 is going to have much impact on the price.

Priceless... I love bitcointalk.

Top-right bar show last 24 hours.

The graph 1-day shows since 12:00 AM.

Then if there is 15 august 18:00 PM, Top-right bar shows volume since 18:00 14 august to 18:00 15 august
But at same time your 1day graph is showing volume from 00:00 01:00............... 17:00 18:00.

There is less hours showed, and thats the reason. Nothing related to a conspiracy about volume  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Do the same screenshoot with mspaint, but at 23:59 and you will get surprised  Cool

Attention, trade volume on Poloniex is wrong whatever the reason might be. I'm trading on that exchange for years and graphs were always correct but now with ETH there is a major problem with 1-day chart, it is showing much lower daily trade volume than listed on the right, at coins list. Do not asume that graph is wrong (it was never wrong before) but the oppossite (coins list value is wrong) and do not be fooled by big numbers shown elsewhere. Poloniex moderators were informed of problem multiple times but didn't reacted, it obviously suits Poloniex to continue luring the naive into buying based on inflated trade volume.

If buying, keep in mind ETH costed just around 55k Satoshi not so long ago (at ICO). IMO the chance for a major dump is really high, the only question now is who will start dumping first (whales?).

If you sum the 6 4-hour volumes for Aug 12th, you get:

  >>> 752.67 + 270.43 + 667.30 + 1381.6 + 805.87 + 812.13
  4690.0

which agrees with the daily total for Aug 12th.

But if you do the same for Aug 13th, you get:

  >>> 628.65 + 313.57 + 550.27 + 1234.3 + 3324.8 + 2140.9
  8192.49

but the daily chart only shows 3691.8 BTC. And it shows nothing at all for the 14th or 15th.

Looks to me like it stopped counting somewhere between the 4th and 5th 4-bar period:

  >>> 628.65 + 313.57 + 550.27 + 1234.3
  2726.79

  >>> 628.65 + 313.57 + 550.27 + 1234.3 + 3324.8
  6051.59

ie. at between 4pm and 8pm server time on the 13th. That was the busiest 4-hour period so far, and around the time when the site appeared to be DDoS'ed offline.

If I had to guess, I would say that the 1-day chart is wrong, and the 24-hour trade volume is right.

Edit: I just reported this error in the poloniex trollbox. Less than a minute later, it was fixed.
