If the development scalable solutions for ethereum come to be successful that is reason alone to push ethereum to $1000 but I don't think that will happen until bitcoin breaks the $20k all time high. Once new people invest in this space, they will want to invest in the top 10 to 100 coins and that could push ethereum past $1000.

IMO, One really rich person saw the market was turning when it was leveling in the low 3000's. So he/she bought everything up around these levels and then moved the market higher in which to slowly release all these coins at the higher level as the market catches up. Its brilliant but it is not a BULL RUN.

Ico are part of of the growth. If so many used was for the simpleness of adopting the technology. So this is positive. It's like to take a medicine. I can cure a disease or I can hurt someone if they don't need. ETH was the first working simple on smart contracts.
