Seems you are right. I read one news where says that 40,000 ETH was transfered into an exchange an hour before the drop. So seems this is game of big whales Undecided

Today in the news I read the following: The developers of Ethereum declared “restrained optimism” and “concern” in the run-up to the hardtop Constantinople. But they promised that everything will pass without problems. I hope that this will be the case because this is the fifth major update.

So the problem is that everyone is interested in the price of a coin, not technology. Technologies are interesting only to a small number of people (projects). There are a lot of manipulator whales on the market who only make money on market volatility and that's it.

Agree, with you but don't consider the market and technology are same but sometimes technology may influence a lot about the price correction. Of course, whales are manipulating the market but they are manipulating based on the development company is doing.

Forks should be only used for the rest chains, that are un-official, and will be developed in different teams after the upgrade, or totally abandoned weeks or months later.

Almost all exchanges support this hard fork if you have your coins on good exchange than no need to move them anywhere. You should follow them on social media channels and check the status whether they will support or not?
