Doubt the fork is gonna mark that much of an impact.
Remember, the dump is not due to some whale/cartel manipulation. Rather, ICOs selling off in order to survive the general bear market plaguing both crypto and traditional stocks and run their day-to-day operations. the event is very important - the ETH moves to the PoS, all miners will go to ETC, it will increase the difficulty and therefore the price will be forced to grow. it is a big mistake to believe that without miners it is better, no, they are the ecosystem. But I'm not completely gone to, but only half because the in the ETH other ecosystem - applications. Even TRX today attempted on them, offered financial assistance in exchange for the translation of applications to itself

The ecosystem is more important than technology. Komodo has better technology, but no applications, so that coin is only on 50 place Coinmarketcap

That would be quite a rise, whats the reasoning behind expecting it to gain that much momentum to bounce like that. Just seems you've zoomed out way too much on the graph.

If you know ETC is bringing forth some feature then the view might be justified but thats fundamental judgement not graph based speculation really. The JULY 2017 event was based off a split in BTC and much doubts occurring there, I dont know of any repeat to that really

[BTW I do find ETC very useful and fast, cheap to use so I'm not negative on it either personally]

I hope it rises back up soon.

Ethereum has a big team behind it. Surely after the market collapse is over Ethereum will recover to get a bigger market capital but I do not see it getting back to number 2 spot because XRP will stay there.

Yeah everyone panic right now and selling at this price $85 and i think sell storm will be not stop because next target is $50.
If price goes to below $50 then i will fill up my bag with ethereum. Otherwise no need to panic, hope so 2019 will bring some positive news about crypto.
