If decentralization is important for a person, then he will work on the Ethereum blockchain and the cost of transactions and their speed will not be very important to him.
So far, projects are using other blockchains, because the issue of cheap transactions has been resolved there, but as the Ethereum ecosystem develops, the cost of transactions will decrease.
But we do not know how many of the 50 projects on the binance blockchain will survive.

The success of Ethereum 2.0 launch is the biggest ETH news of late，it changes from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake，this change has been a big controversial issue since it exposed，and good or bad i think it just only can be verified by time. Wish the congestion and high gas fees problem can solve.
Besides，it is so happy to see the image of ETH VS BNB, it proves BNB is be affirmed by more and more people, although BNB is still far from ETH.

Ethereum 1 will become one of the Ethereum 2.0 shards
