this discussion is important.
outside the probable functional difference in both, i would suspect that if you have now one ETH1, you will arrive progressively to possess one ETH1 and one ETH2.
do you agree ?
I don't really understand what you mean by this.
Ethereum 1 will become one of the Ethereum 2.0 shards
If miners continue to support the network or a new fork appears, then this is a different story.

Ethereum 1.0 and Ethereum 2.0 are 2 different blockchains with different algorithms. I think the developers will make a bridge for transferring coins from one network to another, until Ethereum 1.0 loses its relevance.
More news will be closer to the launch of Phase 1.
If you have some Ethereum, you will be able to do this operation through a cryptocurrency exchange.

both could survive in parallel for reason of wealth creation ? and with different functions?
Ethereum is changing its algorithm. 2 parallel blockchains will only exist until phase 1.5.

Eth 1.0 will be a Shard of Eth 2.0. If you have your own private key than your are good to go, there is no need to any switch.

I think it will depend on which phase you want to move your coins from one network to another.
If you want to do this after phase 1, you may need to use a bridge

To the moon for ETH please!

Indeed it will go to the moon but not this time when it will have its own time. Right now huge accumulation going on and some big whales already filling their bags by making the panic newcomers soon it moon shot will happen so stay positive and strong.
If accumulation is still on, how come price is not increasing beyond $600?

Hello guys everyone. I apologize, perhaps the question will seem strange, but I am asking it because I have no experience in this matter. Please tell me, will my ethereum stored in wallets automatically switch from ETH 1.0 to ETH 2.0 or will every user have to do some kind of conversion?

These noobs are so funny now they are fudding into this legit project. Nobody will listen you because they know what potential ETH has and how big it would be in future. Ethereum is here to stay it's pioneer into smart contracts era and all major projects are being build on the top of this network. So stay positive and keep HODL.
did eth 2.0 effect on the block confirmation time because i see that block confirmation time is now around 10 seconds and its very fast now. what do you think. also fee is less because of Gwei gas price is low.
eth 2.0 is doing very well now. i can say that its the second best crypto in crypto world.

Mr F was here for the launch of ETH2 because you're all going to get Fucked  Grin

These noobs are so funny now they are fudding into this legit project. Nobody will listen you because they know what potential ETH has and how big it would be in future. Ethereum is here to stay it's pioneer into smart contracts era and all major projects are being build on the top of this network. So stay positive and keep HODL.

Should I be a mummy to express myself here? Your investment advice is very shaky ponzi. That's the whole problem here, the construction is unreliable and has no real synergy. Ethereum2 is built on an argyrocratic ponzi system. Here's what will happen: Ethereum2 is not in conformity with the law, which in the long run will engage the corporate supporters and institutions can be amended and even seized depending on the operating jurisdictions. Everything is public, don't forget that. The very foundations of Ethereum2 have a serious network problem with a constant bottleneck. You are going to operate above the code is your driving strategy, but how to build a world of "automated contract" that would be honourable if it is built on "frail beams" which is what is happening here.

The POS system that has already been tested on various other codes has revealed the flaws in its own design. If I have 18652 nodes then I have 18652 consensus votes and a multitudes of zombie nodes, the operating disparity between the actors is profound.

When the bullrun cycle is over, the bear run cycle will come. Many will understand what radical devaluation means.

Would you be willing to put up with it, or would you continue to lie to yourself?

Mr F was here, forced to realize that you're all going to get fucked, by the market, by competing technologies and by the law.

Mr F

bruh this guy dropping more fud and truths than me even HAHAHA nice.

how much fees on Ethereum network after 2.0 launch? Have they decreased fees now?
As far as i understood mining ETh does not works anymore and only staking system works? When will be first rewards for stakijng to node operators?
Now Ethereum 1.0 and Ethereum 2.0 are different networks that are not related to each other.
The first network runs on the POW algorithm, and the second network runs on the POS algorithm.

https://launchpad.ethereum.org/
"What is eth2 phase 0?
Transitioning from proof-of-work (PoW) to proof-of-stake (PoS), eth2 will be launched in at least 4 phases. The idea is to break up this transition into phases each focusing on a different aspect of eth2.
Phase 0 contains all of the machinery behind eth2's PoS consensus, it tracks the validators and their balances.
Phase 1 handles adding, storing, and retrieving the data associated with eth2's shards.
Phase 1.5 updates Ethereum as we know it today from PoW to PoS by making it a shard under eth2.
Phase 2 Phase 2 adds execution to the remaining eth2 shards which enables smart contracts to run on all of the shards."

You can use these tools to calculate commissions in the Ethereum 1.0 network
https://ethgasstation.info/calculatorTxV.php
https://etherscan.io/gastracker

Don't they have dates for all this 4 phases? And when Ethereum will fully switch to 2.0 version? So generally speaking there are 2 different coins now but in total the same amount as was initially before upgrade?
The latest information and updates on the roadmap can be explored here
https://twitter.com/VitalikButerin/status/1333922620857745408
I saw that phase 1 is planned for 2021 and phase 1.5 is planned for 2022. But keep in mind that the important word in this sentence is :  "planned". Smiley
I did not find more detailed information, if you find, then share it.

Dates yoll, the second chain was scheduled to be released January 30, 2017 only 4 years late, not bad. Well it takes another 2 years to fully implement or some like it. Amazing how everyone gets taken for a ride and just puts up with it.

This is speculation in futures.
Only after the start of phase 1 will you be able to create a wallet on the Ethereum 2.0 network and send transactions. Perhaps then the Eth1-Eth2 bridge will be created.

For those who do not follow Ethereum, I will say that the launch of phase 0 did not make any changes for the Ethereum 1.0 network. This event only affected the price of the coin.
Stay tuned for news and launches of other phases, phase 1 is promised to launch in 2021.

This is one of the things I'm worried about, considering that Kucoin itself already has a deposit address for ETH2 (different address from ETH addresses). If to create an ETH2 wallet we have to wait for Phase1, then how can Kucoin create a deposit address for ETH2?

If you read this review, then you will find answers to your questions.
https://medium.com/kucoinexchange/pool-x-supports-eth2-0-migration-8e2de86ce0ef
I'm sure ETH2 futures are traded on other exchanges as well. If you do not have 32 Eth and do not want to create a node yourself, you can use the services of a cryptocurrency exchange and its partners.
I would advise you to read the blogs and social networks of the exchanges.

Thanks for sharing the article into the official thread so it will be helpful so many people who are wondering how to join a staking event even with a low amount. Kucoin is offering a nice opportunity I already joined this pool so let's how it will works in future.

If you have a working blockchain you have a address

Some people will always support Ethereum no matter what, they know Eth2 is only a Vitalik money grap
Ethereum also has name and brand recognition, Beacon-chain
