Eth is the definition of ponzi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponzi_scheme and no longer the definition of blockchain https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain_(database)

I've benchmarked the Ethereum Network versus ETC Network.

Using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Same internet provider and the same PC.

Download of the ETH blockchain 40 minutes.

Download of the ETC blockchain 420 minutes.

As you can see, Ethereum Network is 10 times faster then ETC Network.

Everybody knows: millions of dollars was spent on hardware and implementation too delivers these blistering speed advantages - this is the typical behaviour of businesses or industrial entities.

Stop wasting our time by re-posting lies.

There is no fresh btc or fiat inflow to the forked ether chain. ETHF ponzi is going to collapse.

It's been proven that eth is just marketing gimmicks with no use because it is no longer a blockchain

Eth already cheated and eth bagholders actively supported it, they say it was just once and eth won't cheat again. Cuckolds.

Look, another proud statement by the ETC thread starter.

No wonder ETC is suffering.....

Yelp, those guys really know how to lose crypto-friends and crypto-integrity!

And thats why ETC is worth 10% of what it should be.

KIDS acting like KIDS

Every post bitpop has in this ETH thread makes a ton of people do #facepalms ... including a lot of ETC fans.

He keeps up putting shame and discredit on the top menu of ETC

That can never happen - virtually every crypto-coin, that has tried to give over 40% of their coins away for free has tanked.

You can't get the Next Generation or Newcommers to invest in that crypto, therefore, it becomes like the Dodo - extinct.

The only, Alt, I'm aware of too succeed with an "Airdrop" is "Aurora", but it struggles to get investors who don't live in Iceland (the people who got the 21 million free coins or 50% of the coins).

ETC, is even worse than the standard Airdrops or Early Giveaway Alts; it has given away 80% of its coins away for free.

Therefore, crypto-currency history indicates: ETC will be not be in Top 20 cryptos within 2 years time.

The Next Generation and Newcomers loathe buying Alts, which have huge numbers of existing owners who paid nothing for there coins Grin

ETH is not viable, the first definition of a blockchain is immutability otherwise it's just a database.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/4yhz8h/etc_withdraw_contract_to_be_reviewed/?st=is25gfoc&sh=6f79632b

The White Hat Group has continued the development of the smart contracts and supporting code that will enable the DAO Token Holders to withdraw the recovered ETC, and has reached a point where they are ready to be reviewed.

https://github.com/BitySA/whetcwithdraw

There is no precise timeframe for their deployment, though we would like it to be as soon as possible. These contracts need a thorough community audit. Please review the ReadMe section in the GitHub repo and create issues as needed.

This what they should have done from the very beginning. What they did with their attempt to dump the ETC is viewed by everyone as dirty and it will stick with them. The Ethereum foundation, slock.it and the rest have already exposed themselves and their dirty intentions. They cannot undo what is done. From the hard fork to the RHG dump attempt. But at least they are trying to make amends.

People mine ETC to demonstrate support for the original immutable Code Is Law chain and opposition to the ETH Bailout Fork.

Crypto is the separation of Power and State.
Can anyone explain this?

Using the exact same commands and same equipment, just different pools and wallets - one for ETH-F and one for ETH-C.....

ethminer --farm-recheck 300 -G -t 4 -F --cl-local-work 256 --cl-global-work 16896

All my other GPU platforms are mining ETH-F happily, I'm leaving them to do their thing... so I'm playing around with this dual R9 295X2 miner. When I mine ETH-F , my hash rate is between 136MH and 148MH on dwarfpool - watching the hashrate scrolling on the miner, I see upper 120's all the way to the mid 140's. Also, the mining time is faster .300-.400 second for each chunk mined. ( sorry, I don't know what that is actually called  to refer to the time statistic properly )

Mining ETH-C on Nanopool or solo mining off my geth wallet/node, the hashrate is a whole whopping 50-60MH on Nanopool while my reported hashrate is up to 120'ish , solo mining hashrate I see the hashrate on the miner scrolling by also in the 50's and 60MH range. The mining time on ETH-C is slower at .800-.900 second range.

Why is there such a difference?

With my mining power cut in half basically, mining ETH-C, that makes profit on this system a whopping $0.54 / day, where as ETC-F, I have a profit of $6.73 / day because the miner mines faster on ETH-F

$16 vs $201 per month after electricity is taken out ... Heck, if that's the case for everyone, no wonder ETH-C is dying, its just plain out not worth it.... literally!

But still, I'd like to hear some reason's why there is such a difference in hashrate and mining times.

People mine ETC to demonstrate support for the original immutable Code Is Law chain and opposition to the ETH Bailout Fork.

Some miners may have an investment thesis like Silbert's, wherein ETC tends towards or even exceeds ETH parity, and they won't sell until that happens.

With all the exchange risk floating around, mining is also the safest way to acquire ETC, as no individual counterparty is involved.
