https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/4yhz8h/etc_withdraw_contract_to_be_reviewed/?st=is25gfoc&sh=6f79632b

The White Hat Group has continued the development of the smart contracts and supporting code that will enable the DAO Token Holders to withdraw the recovered ETC, and has reached a point where they are ready to be reviewed.

https://github.com/BitySA/whetcwithdraw

There is no precise timeframe for their deployment, though we would like it to be as soon as possible. These contracts need a thorough community audit. Please review the ReadMe section in the GitHub repo and create issues as needed.

This what they should have done from the very beginning. What they did with their attempt to dump the ETC is viewed by everyone as dirty and it will stick with them. The Ethereum foundation, slock.it and the rest have already exposed themselves and their dirty intentions. They cannot undo what is done. From the hard fork to the RHG dump attempt. But at least they are trying to make amends.

People mine ETC to demonstrate support for the original immutable Code Is Law chain and opposition to the ETH Bailout Fork.

Crypto is the separation of Power and State.
Can anyone explain this?

Using the exact same commands and same equipment, just different pools and wallets - one for ETH-F and one for ETH-C.....

ethminer --farm-recheck 300 -G -t 4 -F --cl-local-work 256 --cl-global-work 16896

All my other GPU platforms are mining ETH-F happily, I'm leaving them to do their thing... so I'm playing around with this dual R9 295X2 miner. When I mine ETH-F , my hash rate is between 136MH and 148MH on dwarfpool - watching the hashrate scrolling on the miner, I see upper 120's all the way to the mid 140's. Also, the mining time is faster .300-.400 second for each chunk mined. ( sorry, I don't know what that is actually called  to refer to the time statistic properly )

Mining ETH-C on Nanopool or solo mining off my geth wallet/node, the hashrate is a whole whopping 50-60MH on Nanopool while my reported hashrate is up to 120'ish , solo mining hashrate I see the hashrate on the miner scrolling by also in the 50's and 60MH range. The mining time on ETH-C is slower at .800-.900 second range.

Why is there such a difference?

With my mining power cut in half basically, mining ETH-C, that makes profit on this system a whopping $0.54 / day, where as ETC-F, I have a profit of $6.73 / day because the miner mines faster on ETH-F

$16 vs $201 per month after electricity is taken out ... Heck, if that's the case for everyone, no wonder ETH-C is dying, its just plain out not worth it.... literally!

But still, I'd like to hear some reason's why there is such a difference in hashrate and mining times.

Some miners may have an investment thesis like Silbert's, wherein ETC tends towards or even exceeds ETH parity, and they won't sell until that happens.

With all the exchange risk floating around, mining is also the safest way to acquire ETC, as no individual counterparty is involved.

Eth already cheated and eth bagholders actively supported it, they say it was just once and eth won't cheat again. Cuckolds.

I foresee ETH-C dying a slow death, slowly fading into obscurity like 99% of the rest of the crypto.... with a future of " You are mining what? I never heard of it."

ETC is only 30 days old.

Perhaps you could wait at least 60 or 90 days before rushing to write yet another ETC obituary?

ETC is a scan supported by thieves for thieves.  Once people learn this the hard way, ETC will die.  Unfortunately, as long as it lives the thieves are making money off of the suckers.

Perhaps, the ebay and amazon resale market does not exist where Chandler lives or has really low resale prices?

In the UK - ebay prices are quite good for AMD cards:

Resell ebay price averages for the last quarter:

R7 370 2Gb £73, after fees and postage net cash will be £60.7

R9 380 4Gb £120, after fees and postage net cash will be £103.

R9 390 8GB £190, after fees and postage net cash will be £166.

At these prices - why would you want Ethereum mining to go on forever?

Maybe, Chandler has re-flashed the bios with custom bios and voided the warranties or destroyed resale value of his GPUs?

Asus, MSI and EVGA have 3 year warranties and these are transferable, make sure to mention how long is left on those warranties.

To check 2nd hand market prices on Ebay in a different country:

Click "Advanced" option word, next to big blue tab for "Search"

Type in the GPU name.

Tick "Sold Listings" button

Tick "Auctions"

And, it will bring every sold GPU of that type for last quarter and you can figure how much your GPU is going for in your country!

Just remember to stagger GPU resales, e.g. don't wait until the last minute!

I'll never understand why people always CHOP UP CLICHES from history and then proceed to hammer and smash them into crypto-currencies!

Trivialising the merits of original events e.g. "The Revolutionary War" circa 1776 that founded the great nation of the USA.

That, itself, would never have been amazing in any way, but 6 months into the War - a little known philosopher broke his pledge of neutrality and wrote "Common Sense" and followed it up with "The American Crisis".

This is the only time, as far as I am aware - a philosophy book has been read or been read out to (many people could not read and write back then) almost 100% of a nation's population.

This, in turn, meant the Founding Fathers, were expected too and had to deliver an amazing document: "The Constitution".

Otherwise, there would be nothing noteworthy about the "The Revolutionary War".

Nobody can claim: this applies to ETC!

ETC can, though, can be likened to "The French Revolution" circa 1789 Grin

This was where, a document was drafted called: "Declaration Of The Rights Of Man and Citizens" by the National Assembly of France.

Into this document the National Assembly attempted too write caveats for every self-interest group they wished too promote via compromises and contradictions and paradoxes. In actuality, the "Declaration Of The Rights Of Man and Citizens" was unusable for governance and allowed the citizenry to commit whatever crimes that appealed to them.

People may have noted: the people behind ETC are for some Forks, but are not for all Forks, especially when there are profits to be made from stealing - a very contradictory position Cheesy

Like the "The French Revolution", everyone can expect ETC to descend into internal bouts of feuding and bloodletting, as they try to implement an agenda full of compromises and contradictions and paradoxes that make it, more or less, unusable for a crypto-currency.
