I also just noticed the custom send address (at least on the mac wallet) does not work.
There is a similar problem in the Mojocoin wallet, so it seems it comes from the codebase ...

the connection problem of some users on QT has been nailed, will be fixed soon (propably a week). There is needed a patch to come out.

modify your exclusivecoin.conf by adding
staking=0
this will prevent your wallet from staking any more.
then as long as the chain is still moving, your coins will become free in a while
