I made a how to master node for Exclusive Coin using the Qt Smiley

it's based on a couple of examples for Transfer Coin.

http://bumbacoin.blogspot.com.au/2016/07/how-to-setup-exclusive-coin-master-node.html

Are you sure the privkey is the private key of the address, and not the result of the command "masternode genkey"?

yes.

the genkey goes in the exclusivecoin.conf if necessary,

if you are only running one master node, then you can handle it all through the exclusivecoin.conf using the genkey, but the setup as described works for local masternodes.

apparently you can set up remote masternodes using the genkey,
i havent explored it yet but i get the impression that you can set up a remote client/wallet with no coins in it, put the genkey in that remote exclusivecoin.conf file then start it up using local client.

i believe then you would still need the privkey in yr local masternode.conf

hopefully i will work this out in the next day or two, i've found teh tutorials elsewhere not entirely descriptive enough so i'll try and write one too.
heh i should put them on steemit Smiley

edit
remote masternodes sounds awesome.
the transaction database would never clog up and the client could run reasonably quietly.

EXCL -> TO THE MOON!

It was that user PriceSlide, they dumped 300K because there was no pump, first time I ever heard someone mad because there was no PnD lol. Supposedly they owned 30% of the coin and didn't realize they could pump the coin on their own but must not have the bankroll to buy their own coin back and hedge out other positions they buy.

thank you very much for your reply and i am looking forward to reading the innovations that will make this coin thrive again . im not wanting to sound like a fudster or anything but i do like to understand  the reasoning behind certain decisions.
if this coin is to gain momentum and actually thrive or if it will end up in the huge pile of crap coins is certainly up to the developers and how they market it. and thus my first question  of the relaunch or a relunch?

The reply will be longer so its not only anser to question but also info to other users interested:

Shortly our main advantage became our bigget enemy - coin confirmations were so fast, chain got really enormous. At final point none of new exchanges/services wanted to host us and hardly anybody was capable of staking. Staking EXCL in half of 2015 was freezing computers and even giving famous BSOD from time to time.

On the other hand loads of coins and time was lost because of Cryptsy/Banx exchanges going down.

So we were left with bad technology, load of coins lost and loads of time already wasted. Thtats when the swap came.

At this point we have small blockchain, clean tested code, functions that users want this days (ie opportunity to mix and hide transaction origins) and can be easily added almost everywhere. We wont have now issues to make Android wallets, Electrum alike clones or be added to/create any app or service.

So now we are at half of July, everything looks smooth and we are capable of filling everything or adding anything we can - because resources needed to run the coin are not stopping us anymore!

For old users - this is rebirth, for new users its still an opportunity to get into EXCL and support the project. Thats also why we are doing for the time being slow steps - to let everybody who wants to join, still be able to join on low prices.

To remind some stuff from the past that we did was ie selling KNC miners and Hard Rock Hotel bookings cheaper for people paying with EXCL.

Now we have concrete plans and ways to introduce EXCL to new communities.

is there actually anything new with this rebirth coin or is it some kind of relaunch or relunch?
its understandable if a coin dies but dead once or twice and its kinda like the coin is over and unless its aiming at a new crowd of newbies to take their money they will have a very hard time making things work this time also.

just my thoughts ok.....

Good questions, i will reply in the evening but what Nick said is correct. Our initial trouble started when blockchain got so huge and wallet ate so much CPU we were not able to get new services or apps (it would kill your whole Android phone ie) and then Banx/Cryptsy died taking down a lot of coins.

Now we are capable of fulfilling roadmap and i will elaborate on this in few hours )

There is new functionality yeah. There was a ton of coin lost to Cryptsy and the wallet was not Exchange Friendly from what I understood, so the coin was swapped out and upgraded to consolidate and restructure the coin. It never really died but was on its way, if these issues were not addressed it would have been down and out. So thankfully it was revived.

Now EXCL has Masternodes and Darksend. So during the restructure it picked up new functionality. Also, you can trade live on Bittrex inside the wallet too.

very well understood of what you have said but what im still trying to understand is why and what  is there  to try and revive this coin? if it was already on death row = very few if any were interested in it and abandoned the following the first time... the second time around it is still not offering anything different other then a few technical security measures and still does not offer any advantages over many of the other thriving coins...
so in my perspective is, if as you said it was well on its way to death row then offering nothing more, how can it live now?

If the reasons for it dying was the actual problems with the wallet, then fixing that makes it viable again. I can't speculate on whether this played into it but at least it is now stabilized and available on an exchange to grow again with a limited supply. Now it can sustain a decent market cap and be utilized. As I remember this coin had quite a few Merchants that accepted EXCL initially. Over Mining may have diluted the market also. Now it is only PoS and can sustain itself.
i do hope that this moves will help this coin to re birthed strongly and usable in any means because it is not the exchange we need to focus
here we also needed functionality and supporters will start to show up again  good luck dev please keep us updated.
