I certainly agree that the lack of information flowing from the Factom team is a little disappointing, as are the announcements that are promised and then not delivered. It is a great product and great team, no doubt... however, the communications need to be drastically improved.

I certainly hope some substantial progress is being made and we can expect some positive news very soon as 18% wiped off value in one day is partly a result of people losing faith and this can be easily managed with regular and meaningful communication.

My father always told me... under-promise and over-deliver.

Not sure what the problem is. Seems pretty straightforward and reasonable. And as a result at least one person has stepped up to help out.

Straightforward, yes. Reasonable, no.

They just secured US$4M from Draper yet have the audacity to "call us out" for not chomping at the bit to provide free feedback on a testnet (which doesn't even exist!).

While we're at it.... Deery: "Also, that announcement you picked up on turns out needed to stay secret for a while longer." -- seriously? This is just absurd. There's no need to be playing this all or nothing "spring a release" secret squirrels game. Active and open communication, good and bad, will lead to a more stable price and is fairer for everyone.

I am starting to really dislike the way these guys do business and I would not be surprised if they are gaming these markets.

Brian Deery to bar buddies on a Friday night, "Hey want to see a cool magic trick?  I can make a million dollars disappear."........As he types most recent post.  10 minutes later, a million bucks disappears off Factom's marketcap. "See how easy that was!?"

42% Margin and tanking.  WELL it was fun while it lasted.  Thank you Brian, you made this a very memorable moment, sigh.

Someone from Factom should revoke Mr. Deery's Internet privileges.

The latest version of Factom is Version 0.3.8.0, released 28 Oct, 2016

https://github.com/FactomProject/distribution

Wait, is this the testnet release?

No, sorry this is just a bugfix for M1.  This solves some of the memory issues the community has been testing fixes for.  https://github.com/FactomProject/factomd/issues/23

Also, that announcement you picked up on turns out needed to stay secret for a while longer.  You will hear about it when it is much further along in development.

When we release the public testnet, how many people here will actually download and test it?  No one took me up on my offer to run the simulator.

"How many people here will actually download and test it?  No one took me up on my offer to run the simulator."

Please tell me he just didn't say that.

I interpreted what he said differently.  I looked at it through a different lens.  Still a little raw after today's beating.

Thanks, Brian—looking forward to it when it's ready.

Sounds like there is one word I am going to get all up close and personal with - "COVER"

Don't be so arrogant. You want us to be merrily doing free bug testing and feedback, yet we're totally in the dark about the roadmap and can't mamage our positions accordingly - unlike the privileged few from Factom.
Factom is making some PR mistakes here and there, no doubt about it.  But that's what happens with a young company.  They'll get better.

In the meantime, I'll happily do free bug testing and provide feedback because I believe in what they're doing.  And because I want a vacation home on Maui.

I swear EVERY time I invest, the damn thing tanks.
