I don't think M2 is going to move the price, at least not like Draper's vote of confidence.

You don't think "the capstone of this year and many others" (Snow) is going to move the price?

I don't think it will.  If it does you can say I told you so until you're blue in the face.  Sound fair? Smiley

I'll also say "I told you so!!!" because I'm sure your prediction is wrong. ;-)

A better question is why would you want the price to spike?  Are you guys traders?

I don't trade much. But of course I would like to see a higher price, but not necessarily a hype with dumping right after.

I space out my buys, I buy X amount with each paycheck so for me, a lower price is better.  Now if you got in early at 10 cents and bought 10's of thosands of Fct, then for you its better if the price keeps going up and up.  To each his own I guess.

Yes, different situations/perspectives. I bought most of my Factoids one year ago through October and November. And for months I nearly was all-in because I really believe in this project. But: I want to distribute the normal risk a little bit - that's why I sell a little bit every time I consider the price as good and whenever there is a project I believe to see real potential.

1 year ago?  Nice!!!

Yes, I'm one of those lucky guys who found Factom right after launch while I wasn't aware when they did their ICO -  but it was really important to do research. Those who did not didn't recognize how much potential this project has and how undervalued it was (and still is in my opinion). Factom didn't get much attention one year ago. Many days with just 5 BTC in volume or even below in the first three months after launch.

What about 20/20? What was the whole presentation about? What about that new product? Dont tell me Tiana lied to us.

I read her quote and while I agree there is something to read into, there was never a promise that a new product would be announced at the event. And any company is going to hold off announcements if all its ducks are not in a row. Just like testnet, any day now . . .

When did u actually get into crypto my friend? Which holder would not want it s holdings to increase in price? That s why we want the price to spike, so we want to sell and make some money. It s not a rocket science.

Jesus, what side of the bed did you wake up on?

Happy to sit this out in bitcoin for a few months. Can't really see any big moves up till we have some serious demand for EC's - 200 million per month as I recall. Maybe I'll pick up some cheap factoids in the new year. Good luck everybody.

I have no idea where all you maniacs get this idea from that there will or should be a big announcement at the 2020 event. Obviously anything is possible (and happy to be wrong) but it's not exactly likely given that the guy only has a few minutes to talk and he's sharing the spotlight with a bunch of others.

 Huh Huh

A spokes person for the company specifically said there would be an announcement.. No one is saying it was a big announcement. that is how we got the idea.

interview publish on October 15th: We will be announcing a new product next week with a fuller description.
so today is the last day of the week.

I doubt they'll announce anything on a Sunday, though I'm actually not sure when "next week" was meant for. It's poss Tiana thought the interview was being published a day or two later, so corrected herself to reflect that. Or an editor could have changed "a couple weeks" to "next week" if he/she thought the same thing. Could be a missed "deadline" if they don't announce today, but the wording/intention isn't 100% clear to me. It's further not even clear whether "the week" begins on Sunday(calendar) or Monday (work).

Anyway .... my guess is the announcement will come tomorrow/Mon or Tue during the Money 20/20 panel.

I honestly don't think they would announce it at 20/20. They are in track 2 from 5:00 - 5:50pm with five other speakers. So Peter Kirby will probably have around 10 minutes to do his talk. Factom is better off explaining what they do during the talk than to launch a new product to a crowd who may or may not have any knowledge of Factom (yet).

You could be right. A panel is different from a presentation. Though Tiana did say they would be announcing a new product this week (or last, still not 100% sure). So my guess FWIW is that they'll announce something Tue morning (next few hours) to discuss at the panel—"Just today we announced ..."—or later in the week. Though admittedly Factom isn't sticklers for punctuality ... Smiley

Margin trading is great if done correct, the loan rates are nothing compared to the gains you can get.

the loan rates are a rounding error..  to the losses or the gains in this market!
