Is FST dead? Roaming around old wallet backups and found one for fastcoin... looks like all the exchanges it was traded on went under. Can any FST enthusiasts provide some info?

Hello,

Ive downloaded the latest version and imported the bootstrap.dat file, it is currently synchronizing (I think), but there is no connected networks. Anyway to fix this? or should I wait till everything is synced?

Please update to the latest version, 1.14.2. Your wallets from previous clients are fully compatible with the new client and testing has been successful.

Fastcoin has gained some ground in 2021 with a new marketing team, additional developers and a lot of new interest. There were a few changes that needed to be made, this was to help maintain the overall health of the blockchain. This is especially so for protecting the blockchain in the event that, at any point, Fastcoin inherits an influx of miners attempting to stress the network.

Fastcoin now supports merge mining, auxiliary proof of work, or AUX-POW. This method was first used by Namecoin in 2011 and was always planned for a future release someday. Fastcoin was almost too fast. In order to maintain a fully stable blockchain, not only for clients but also for exchanges, the 12 second block target was extended to 60 seconds. This is to ensure both stability and speed which go hand and hand for those hosting servers. Looking forward to seeing where Fastcoin finds it's place in the future.

Hi guys,

I know i have asked before, but let me try 1 more time.

Could some one please give me the correct wallet, bootstrap, and a list of working nodes please.

I have tried every version of FST i can find, i range from 1 connection to loads of connections depending on wallet version, BUT all say NO BLOCK SOURCE FOUND and nope will allow me to get the coins i have mined in the pool, so clearly the pool is on a diff chain to the wallets i am using....

Is it possible for someone to fix this, and maybe even get an explorer up so we can all get on the same chain?

Are you sure you checked the FSTBootstrap link from the main website?  If not you might want to check it out as it appears to have a recent FST BlockChain.zip file available for download.
