What's New in version v0.10?
This is a major release of Fastcoin Core, featuring the technical equivalent of Bitcoin/Litecoin v0.10.2 but with Fastcoin specific patches.
Major improvements in block synchronization and various internals are considerably faster and more efficient, and it has several major privacy improvements.
Sourceforge is still implementing server upgrades and currently is not accepting any new uploads to their servers.
The current release of updated clients (fastcoin-0.10.2.2) have been uploaded to the following mirrors.

Try this one: http://bootstraps.cointech.net/fastcoin/ This is not official generator. The dat file is created with wallet that is not db4.8, but in most tests all transactions are correct with db4.8. Please, test it and return to me feedback!

I have to ask you a favor. Could you be able to upload a zip file with the last parts of the blockchain not covered by the archive in your website? I'd really appreciate your effort. My wallet is not able to sync, is stuck of fourth week, block 5093400 and I really want to solo mine this coin as a backup coin for my home pc. I have a very low hash power and the low difficulty of fastcoin is perfect for me since DMD the main coin I mine is getting very high on its diff.

do not mine here. pool shows your workers and claims payout every 60 seconds after block is found.
but in fact there are no payouts...wasted time mining.
This coin may be dead!!

Yes, look up about 4 or 5 posts, and I have a link to a somewhat recent blockchain on my site. Youll never sync from scratch as the blocks are being created faster than your syncing.
Thanks for your help Vegas. I downloaded your blockchain but seems it is still going slower than the net generates new blocks as you mention. Instead of telling the last block received was 7 weeks ago it now tells me it was 5 weeks ago. Tomorrow I'll try to let it synching all day long to see if it catches up but my question to the developers will be: how Fastcoin is going to become popular if the client isn't capable of synching the blockchain effectively or with the blockchain you provide? Are there plans to improve the synching system?

Hi all. I'm trying to sync my wallet. Using the last version, with the last bootstrap.dat published in fastcointalk.org and a peers.dat given by a user there nicknamed 'shitscared' the blocks sync extremely slow. I start it with -db=2000 arguments and the recommended fastcoin.conf and leave the wallet open for 12 h. a day but it has been synching for several days and still is on 4,926,000th block of 5 million estimated going one block per second it will sync in a couple of years at least 
Is this why the net hashrate is so low for fastcoin? Is there any way to achieve a sync with my wallet and start mining?

Its over 2GB in size. Blame the devs. But its current as of about 15 min ago. Just close fastcoin wallet and extract contents to roaming\fastcoin and overwrite all files.

add dbcache=2000 to your shortcut properties in windows. Also forget pools with fastcoin. Best solomine.

None of the pools listed on the homepage work.
Edit: Assuming this coin has a future, I'm also wondering why the client runs as a background process (that takes forever to close) rather than an app like all other coin clients?
