can I give you some updates? There is a fully upgraded & hardened windows wallet being released this Sunday, March 18 (release Trilby). We have been redeveloping and testing the wallet for several months now and using in pre-release pilot mode. It's really fast and highly secure.

A brand new Linux wallet will be coming in April, and a Mac wallet in May. More excitingly, later this year we'll be releasing a mobile wallet for both Android and IOS. The mobile wallet will include some cool new features to help spread Tips around the community.

Hi Mandy,

The main use is in low value high speed transactions. It was originally developed for tipping, and we intend to continue that with a set of updated tip bots in the middle of the year. For everyday transacting it typically resolves in under 2 minutes, with extremely low fees so it's quite positive in that respect. We have also updated the wallets significantly to improve security & speed.

We are releasing a roadmap next week with a number of other planned use cases. The best way to stay in the loop is probably via twitter: https://twitter.com/fedoratipscoin

Hi Brian!

It's likely that you will need to resync the blockchain with the new wallet. The old database code in the legacy wallet was so old that we had to rebuild the DB logic from scratch. Plans for the next wallet iteration include auto-update and bootstrapping, so for that one it will eliminate the hassle of updating and syncing. When we kick off the relaunch on March 18th it will include the roadmap with staged releases and further details, the plan is to have a dynamic roadmap (probably trello) so that everybody can comment and input into the ideas.

Definitely have exchange listings on the radar! We have started initial discussions with a few exchanges but further listing is dependent on exchanges seeing an active community, refreshed codebase, etc. That's why we are so keen to get this foundation release out there!
