you mean if you want to have the "real/original" TIPS? Then just dont deposit them to bter because you won't be able (if not changed) to withdraw them.
We won't have any hard changes like conversion from scrypt to sha256 or other algo.

Why is wallet full of viruses?

There are no virus or malware in the wallet if you got it from the official source. Many virus programs indicate false positives on wallets especially if they contain addnode or config files with IP addresses.
