As usual, the FLT source uses non-standard or version-locked libraries that make installing this coin a MASSIVE and ROYAL pain in the ass.

The compile is complaining about missing boost libraries that we have installed.

We're removing FLT, I'm tired of wasting hours trying to get it back up every time there's a change.

Want to know why it's been down on Cryptsy for a week? My guess? They don't have the time to screw with it either.

We have nearly 200 coins on AllCrypt.com - FLT is the ONLY one that is routinely an hours-long process to update because of the way the dependencies are handled.

Anyone is able to contribute fixes or advance the technology by jumping in and getting involved.  Four weeks ago, all I knew was how to generate a conf file and get everyone syncing up trying to cobble together a working network.  Today we have brought the web site back up, enabled the web wallet, 3 wallet releases, and now starting to incorporate more bug fixes and new features.

I encourage anyone to start learning how this works, and assisting with fixes that need to be done, or implementing a new feature that you would like to see.  For instance the new 0.4.5.11 in testing has a weight field added to coin control, and a few sort fixes in the UI.  None of these are huge advances, but it makes using the wallet so much easier!  Easily see which coins are mature and ready for staking.

Few things that are of interest to me.

• People, we need more people, and really good people to promote and use FLT
• Trade volume, this goes hand in hand with the 1st point people, we need people buying FLT, selling FLT, using FLT
• Ease of use
• Use FLT with BTC retailers, I want more FLT retailers, but this allows us to take advantage of what people already are focused on currently.
• Cloak functionality,  Cloak send options.  This is exciting and is all the rage now but long term I don't see this as something that would be beneficial to Fluttercoin's design.  But should we do it?

Issues brought up recently
POT is too small, this is a recurring theme, it provides 1 FLT, currently 5% of PoW block (20).  I do agree that this is small, especially at the current price level, however, if BTC had POT and you got 1BTC for just using BTC, would you consider that small?  Just a thought, I do get that we are not BTC...But what about 1 BlackCoin, or 1 Darkcoin, you get the idea...

For MacOSX we are having some issues with Maverick and later, we have a build but generates an error when a POT block is received for whatever reason, we are investigating.  I have not published this yet because I have not tested the release yet.  Hopefully later today.

Why...
I have been manually issuing checkpoints to 0.4.5.7 trying to keep them in sync but this morning my old client once again went out of sync.  This is a losing battle.  Upgrade now or be left behind.

The problem with an exchange handling an issue like the mystery block chains is kind of difficult.  The key thing there is keeping the ledger balance in line with the wallet balances.  Since Cryptsy's wallet is offline and probably accepted quite a few deposits on a bad chain, they probably can't get the ledger lined up with the wallet balances especially if they had a lot of bad deposits from the bad chain and can't clean out all the transactions related to the wallet addresses. Unfortunately the best course of action in this instance is just to smoke all the old wallets and 0 out the ledger which undoubtedly would upset quite a few customers especially if they had lots of coins in storage there (which is totally against cryptsy's policy).

  Granted, this is just speculation.

Cryptsy has already been contacted through email with everything needed to update their system. They have also been tweeted. If someone from Cryptsy reads this, we are ready to help with setting up the new wallet.

soomster, do you have any suggestion on how to give them more help transitioning their systems?

@ofeefee and current developers of Fluttercoin: I'm currently contacting some of the altcoin developers for an alliance to support each others' communities. I just haven't decided its road map but would you consider such a cooperation between Fluttercoin and Memorycoin? Bear in mind that I'm currently the Chief Marketing Officer of Memorycoin.

updated sorting of date for recent transactions on main page, and on transaction view, not sure why this wasn't done, pain in the ass to see some old orphans in my transaction list all the time.
coin control will now use localtime instead of UTC to avoid confusion
coin control has weight column added to avoid confusion (easily see which coins are mature and how much stake weight they have, love this feature)
Remove OptionsModel::Upgrade, this is believed to be the cause of the start crashing initially, if it doesn't resolve, I can continue to look
disabled irc seeding by default, we use DNS Seed Nodes

A few things going on...

Multipool is up and working along with daily payouts.  We had an issue on X11 where we were not finding blocks, Dev is identifying coins we can focus on to produce desired results.  This should be corrected going forward.  If you wan't more fluttercoin, Multipool supports sha256, x11 and scrypt, fluttercoinpool.com

Web wallet has been updated to latest wallet, along with rebuilding the login pages.  Fluttercoin.us, I have android app and am looking at getting it published to the Google Play store again.

On the coin front, slax0r is working on macosx updates, and some bug fixes.  I am adding weight to coin control making it easier to use, and updating the wallet so it shows recent transaction and sorts properly.  And looking at new features we may want to add, but right now doing some code cleanup.
