Yes, curecoin also did the same thing like folding coin did. And I also heard about BOINC projects but I did not know it is under GridCoin.
Actually I think CureCoin was the first crypto to reward Folding@home contributors.
FoldingCoin was released a little bit later.
But thanks to merge folding, folding can compete with mining in terms of profit and that's great for F@h!
Yes, you're right! I really hope to see cures of those deadly diseases in near future. Folding coin is really a good practice to utilize cryptocurrency mechanism, at least it is meaningful compared to others.
CureCoin can argue that (for the SAME reasons), GridCoin somewhat (some of the BOINC projects it supports are also health-related science), otherwise very true.
Yes, curecoin also did the same thing like folding coin did. And I also heard about BOINC projects but I did not know it is under GridCoin.
I don't mean to compare folding coin with these coins that you mentioned... Or maybe I should edit my message abit => "at least it is meaningful compared to most other coins."
Actually, it's really horrible way to utilize the cryptocurrency mechanism, but we love it because it's all we've got.

Non-Curecoin non-FLDC folders are undoubtedly happy for the most part (a few are probably unhappy at the increased competition like some of the EVGA team), the rest of us are .... mixed.
It's a nice consolation for our reduced income though.

I gave up on that PEPE junk a couple months before I finally moved out of using Counterparty entirely.
Counterparty is just a ripoff, pure and simple, and IMO Foldingcoin should DROP their association with that trash.

I concede it's not dropped all the way to where it was at last summer.

Pretty close on a per-PPD basis though, as your figures show.
On the other hand, I was closer to 3% of all Team Curecoin folding at my peak some months back, right now I'm not managing to stay at 2% despite some substantial additions to my farm - and my share of FLDC is in the same ballpark.
