Hello FoldingCoin believers,

Our aim is to add value to the whole crypto community by giving the best user experience to analyse cryptocurrencies.

It would be really great help from your side if you can spend 60 seconds of your time and give us your valuable feedback for our two recent updates 1) Snapshot and 2) Colourful interface of FoldingCoin at: https://cointopper.com/coin/foldingcoin

Constructive criticisms are always welcome at CoinTopper.  Thank you!!

Hello there!

Overall it seems pretty nice. But when I try to access the webpage, I get an error from my antivirus about an untrusted certificate. If it's something you can fix it would sure give you some points Wink

There's no activity at all, no news , and price decreasing everyday...

What's up Folding Coin ?
Price speculation is not something we can really have control on. Most cryptos are all down right now as well. We are working hard on some new products this year and have the public meeting tomorrow at 10:00am EDT for an update. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOGr5bZqyr8

I know through the years we have been slow, but the stuff we have been doing in 2018 has been very fruitful. this project has been hard to run on a volunteer basis until this year, and now that we have full time devs we are chugging along nicely so far this year. You should expect good things this year, and i'm so thankful for the community staying with us throughout the years. If we dont deliver this year on some really cool stuff like the new download service Miguel has been working on, and the stats page, then there is room for concern.

The new devs Tyler and Jared have been exceptional and are working on some nice stuff as well. please join the meeting tomorrow and thanks Cheesy

All those old coins on bittrex performing not great lately. Seems like all hype rn is around ICOs and binance coins. Just another example how market doesn't care about fundamentals...
Or it could be another example of how altruism isn't King in crypto.

As far as I know, Folding@home is a project of Stanford University. Folding coin supports Folding@home. Is the coin related to Stanford University in any way? Just wondering. Also is it possible to participate using boinc client instead of the Foldingcoin browser which is not yet available for Linux, the OS I prefer to use.

Yes, Folding@Home is a Stanford University project.

FoldingCoin is in NO way related to Stanford University.

You cannot participate using the bionic client.

However, in our tutorials page you can find a video on how to install the Folding@Home client on Ubuntu (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeHGeBSGv54).
Hi. I do like $FLDC. Solid project.  Low market cap. Also it's a low satoshi coin.
But I didn't really get it... Is Foldingcoin related to Folding@Home? ty

@MAXE
This video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GSe4RoEGCo) describes the unofficial relationship of FoldingCoin and the Folding@Home project.
When I say above "NO way related", I mean there is no official partnership of any kind.

I would like to try FoldingCoin browser. Github repository only provides an EXE file and source files. I would like to run it on a Mac. Is there any tutorial or dmg file I can use to get it run on my machine?

At the moment the Folding Browser is available only for Windows. We are working on making it available for Linux & Mac, but with no exact ETA.
You can download and install the Folding@Home software for Mac (http://folding.stanford.edu/alternative-downloads/) and then watch this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxMY-vSRh8Q that will guide you to setup everything manually (wallets, pools, etc.). Be aware that the tutorial is for Windows (we plan on releasing one for Mac in the future) but the steps are pretty much the same.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them Wink

After some delay, the FREE merged folding distribution platform is here!!!

It's still in a beta phase, so please let us know on Discord if you encounter any bugs.

The platform is suitable for advertising / airdrop purposes. Currently only Counterparty tokens are supported, but it's in our future plans to integrate more blockchains.

You can visit https://foldingcoin.net/index.php/merged-folding/what-is-merged-folding for further information.

FLDC is a great coin .... This is a great project..we have to hold this token for a long time.
I am sure later FLDC will become a phenomenal coin.  Wink

Thanks for the support @erwan!
Hopefully many more will come to the same conclusion and donate their unused PC power to the Folding@Home project.
Happy folding Smiley

Hah, maybe I should have rephrased the question. Which one would you feel most disappointed to receive? I've added a few more options to the poll.
Public meeting is starting soon, please join us to learn about the updates in the past month - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAHB7LHc1O8

Hey folders! I made a poll here and also on counterpartytalk asking which token people would rather receive between XCP, Foldingcoin, Bitcrystals and Pepecash. Only 4 have voted so far over at counterpartytalk so it'll be great if you have an opinion about it.
