I did try with my email address and it says it did say the account was locked. I never got the confirmation email, so just assumed it was locked waiting for that.

Just checked for confirmation email again and it looks like it did finally show up. Will check it out and see if it works now.

So, doing the email confirmation let me log in. But to make any changes to my account, I need to do new email confirmation and am now waiting for another email in order to make changes to the account settings. I'll wait to see how long this email takes to arrive this time...

Yeah its for added security! You don't want anyone to steal your coins now do you? Because now, if someone changes the wallet address, they need to confirm by email! No more lost coins!
