The main purpose of limiting the supply was to avoid what happened with Dogecoin, another joke token.

Hello FUCKers! If you've been following our Slack, you might've heard about an impending update to FUCKtoken's smart contract. Well, the updated contract is finally ready, has been audited, and is ready for release.
The reasons for this update: we decided to remove mining from our smart contract altogether and to fix a couple of minor bugs. After this update, the total supply of FUCKs will be only allowed to go down. A deflationary model makes more sense for the project as a whole, as it complements the token's burning capability with the tip bot.
We are asking that anyone with FUCK tokens hold off from trading on EtherDelta or Novaexchange for the next 24-48 hours. Also, please do not transfer between wallets, or use 0x protocol OTC, etc. You do not need to do anything for this contract update—we are just asking you to hold off on transferring during the process.

Yes, populo transis, a military major was one of the perpetrators of that campaign and got jailed on the report of suspicions of owning an odd token virtually enabling bearers to go and fuck themselves. Transis did not know it would go this far and when shit hit the fan he promptly asked the president about pardon for himself but to no avail.
No effect on the price of Bitconnect though. Really strange.
For me it is not strange. Behind project must be plan and kind of destiny for coin. In my opinion this token was made for fun and whales will not put money in that.. just saying..
