I think the dev should start a new thred and explain the issues.

Is the OP somehow related to the project and the dev? How come he took over the ANN thread here? I think he has no right to control it.
No, he isn't related at all.
Then how the hell did he took over the control of the ANN thread?
This coin started on reddit, so there was no offical ANN thread here. So he created this...
Oh, now we all know who is a scammer.

Well, I think this is not legit. I wonder why bitcointalk administration hasn't been contacted before there are 18 pages of FUD. And now it has grown into a nice heading.

Yeah I PM'ed one of the devs in their Discord server. He/she said it's already been discussed and they contacted the forum's support team. So I guess we just wait now.

Can we just remove all the scam FUD from the OP while we're at it? It doesn't make any sense and they have been debunked

So can we do anything about the title? I don't like it displayed with that 'scam' tag.

On subreddit moderates and removes absolutely all inconvenient for dev topics. This has always been one of the main criteria of the scam - to delete all the negative reviews.
There are several threads about asics and the airdrop issue. One thread was removed by mistake, now it's available again. Is this "absolutely all"?

At this moment i cant find no one threads here https://www.reddit.com/r/garlicoin/

https://www.reddit.com/r/garlicoin/comments/7v76ig/there_are_asic_miners_for_garlicoin/
for example?

It's working only with direct link. No one cant find it on 1,2,3 or any other pages.  1-2 days ago its was 5-6 threads on top with 150+ upvotes. But now on top only some scrap threads with 20-40 upvotes.
No, it's not on the frontpage, but you can find it easily. reddit works differently from bct.

I'm sorry but the more comments I read from you the more I realize that it's a case of poor Due Diligence.

1). Your entire claim is based on one speculative Reddit post. If you read the comment section of that post, you would realize how wrong /u/kamencco (the OP) was (i.e. not fully understanding what scrypt-n is).
2). Taking a step back (assume GRLC isn't ASIC resistant). The coin started off as a meme coin. To most ppl (probably even the devs), scrypt-n is analogous to ASIC-resistant. It's highly defamatory to accuse the devs as scammers. They clearly didn't intend to use "ASIC resistance" as the platform to rip other redditors off. (Of course, there might be a rogue dev right now but I'm pretty sure you weren't specifically describing him).

It's fine to hate GRLC and give constructive criticisms about the coin. However, it's unfair to make sweeping accusations about the coin (i.e. calling it a scam). Also, note that GRLC is a month old meme coin. So please make balanced comparison with decade old currency disruptor like bitcoin.

Garlicoin was released and marketed as ASIC resistant with the devs either willfully lying or being ignorant. Either would be extremely irresponsible ans showcases their incompetence. "ASIC resistance" is still on the official website...

Garlicoin is NOT ASIC resistant and the developers lied about this. Facts, not speculation. It's sad to be coming to this realization but the truth has to come out.

Keep on saying that its not ASIC resistant does not suddenly make it "Facts". You cited zero sources other than that heavily debunked reddit post. If you hate GRLC, that's completely fine. Just don't influence other people with your unsupported belief by having that red, bolded warning sign on the first page and the [scam] title.

KNC Titan, one of the biggest scrypt miners produced, supports scrypt-n up to n of 19. https://github.com/KnCMiner/knc-asic/blob/d83f1e67785eff0af00175d85564ace840c28186/knc-asic.h#L10

Garlicoin I'd scrypt-n. What else do you need to know?

Thanks for once again posting the very same github code

The hashrate of these things is not amazing and neither is their power draw. On top of that you keep ignoring that these devices are quite rare, are not being sold anymore and are dying really fast (making it a horrible investment no one wants to but anyhow)

How can I report you to the bitcointalk staff, this is a joke. You have no idea what you're talking about
The problem is this is not a scam. Rookie project? Maybe. But definately not a scam. OP is just a wannabe scambuster.

what about the ones who invested in Garlicoin?
Invested? It wasn't an ico. Free airdrop is not an investment.

you can still buy it on the exchange. thats an investment too you know
Yes, you can buy it and you can buy shitloads of shitcoins as well. If you invest into a shitcoin, you can't really blame someone but you. Anyways, who the hell "invest" into something that is available only on tradesathoshi...

I love garlic bread. Therefore, I should invest in garlic coin. That's how I make my decisions. But premining my garlic bread is not ok.
They're using the premine for the airdrop. Tho it's still on process. We'll see how it turns out

Thanks a lot. I restarted it 3 times and now it works fine. Thanks.

Sorry about my noob question but what it means that a coin is or is not ASICS resistant?

It's not real ASICs resistant - but it's not real problem in this moment. There are no new ASIC in manufacture for this coin - only old and rare asics with 15-50MH/s. They could not grow up to 51% of nethash. But they can dump coin price - because this coin is extra profitable for them even when price drop lower than $0.1 and because they cant mine other coins with this old ASICs.

Can't the developers fix the problem and make it ASICS resistant? Is it a bad idea to mine this coin with gpu now?

Try to mine and check profit. NiceHash and other same system is more terrible problem for all new coins than this few old asics.
