Doing a swap for 4 months is... I worry about later stages of this project.

For past 3 months we've been buying everything that other people are transfering to the exchange... just since september bittrex Geo account increased by 170k coins and price suffered the most.

I've contacted Bittrex support regarding our swap and will let you know their response and the approximate date for the swap once confirmed. Ideally we'll have roughly 1 month from now to migrate balances over to Bittrex in preparation.

We're first dealing with Bittrex Support to set a date that works for both of us. Once we have that information we will approach Cryptopia as well to see if they can assist with a swap on their exchange.

If Bittrex takes 3 weeks to answer one their 'business partners' since 2015, it might be a sign of a real shit exchange, not to mention yesterdays DDOS :/

Swap has been lingering for so many months. Better hurry devs, so that some useful features are added and mobile apps are released.

Good to see swap eventually happening. Geo coin has great unique concept and implementation of the all the features mentioned will undoubtedly help create great prospect for GeoCoin

Hello,

as far as I understand main point is collecting for fun, but merchants can place Geo's on the map in the store to in fact attract potential customers; you can preview the map with already "dropped" coins - https://geocoin.cash/. In near future Geo's turning from a coin to a Ubiq token which also changes inflation - mining is over and new Geos will likely be randomly spawned on the map or some PoS mechanism will be put in place, devs did not inform yet on exact details.

We are currently in discussion with the UBQ devs and the Bittrex Support staff in regards to the upcoming swap. We are aiming for a simple 1:1 swap to keep all the GEO balances equivalent. Once the swap occurs we are thinking of reducing the inflation rate, and having the GEO minted at a set interval. These minted GEO will then be dropped onto the map and available to collect via Proof of Location (PoL). This should be beneficial to GEO and the price as the supply will not be hyper inflated or diluted in any way. I hope that helps clear some things up, I will make sure to post here when we have more details confirmed.

Hello,
