Goodomy's new 'retail mining' app, Shopomy, will begin final testing in less than 1 week
It's been a long and exciting road to get our flagship product, Shopomy, ready for launch.
Development in winding down and we will begin final testing in approximately one week. We will also be expanding user acceptance testing efforts before release, and performing any bug fixes.
The official due date is a comfortable May 24. However, I am leaving a nice cushion in case there are any major issues.
I'm very excited for this release. If you've used the alpha version of Shopomy (released in December) this version is light-years ahead. There are a lot of useful features and I'm happy to report that they are all working together nicely.
Note that rollout will be quiet for the first few weeks as we monitor for bugs and performance issues. We want to make sure that the product is as solid as it can be for the resources that we have, for as many people as possible.

The Success of Goodomy Entirely Depends on the Efforts of Ambassadors and Other Users
Goodomy is designed to be a platform that distributes economic power to its user base, comprised of everyone from GOOD token speculators to the everyday consumer. This economic power is derived solely from one's use of the GOOD token to access Shopomy, OTOL, or other components of the Goodomy ecosystem.
The success of the Goodomy project (or Shopomy, OTOL, etc) does not depend on me or the other developers or management team at all, but users. Further, there is no economic gain to be had from holding the GOOD token. A GOOD token is not an investment, but a way to access the features of the Goodomy ecosystem that you can use to extract economic value from your own efforts. This value does not rely at all on the efforts of myself or the rest of the Goodomy team.
Every user of Shopomy will be a GOOD Ambassador in some form, promoting use of the Goodomy platform and making it a success.
My role is simply to make the software that this mechanism runs on as solid as it could be with the resources we have, and to build an all-star, full-time team to support users once we have an actual product up and running and to be a part of that team for as long as humanly possible. The rest is up to you!

No, no tokens needed. They will be useful, of course, but tokens are too complicated for the average person to think about.
Does this platform available even for those who don't have knowledge about crypto?
Both Shopomy and OTOL are being designed for people that know nothing about, or care about, crypto.We will not market ourselves to the crypto community. Our focus is the average, everyday person who has some experience with internet and/or mobile phones. That's our market.
These two comments are probably the most important out of both of these threads.
This is what so many crypto platforms don't get. They are focused on crypto investors and the crypto market. This is a big world and brick and mortar retail as well as mobile users are gigantic markets. Glad you are focusing on the big picture and staying away from the crypto craze.

I would like to know more about the team who are behind this because no profile links are available to get more details.
There are 9 of us, including myself. However, I am the only one directly involved in the crypto community. As we are really developing more of a consumer company rather than focusing on the crypto market, I have chosen to shield them from the 'Wild West' aspects that plague crypto far too often. It also helps Goodomy to draw from a more broad (and refined) talent pool who are more professionally involved in consumer products and solutions.
When we have actual products to show and have hired full-time staff, then I will leave it to the discretion of the future Board to determine how transparent the team (other than myself) should be.
(Keep in mind, though, that a lot of 'teams' you see in others don't actually exist in the way they are being portrayed. Many are paid in tokens for their 'role' but don't actually do anything, or are simply made up names and backgrounds. You can easily fake a team for an extra $200M market cap. That's why we're focusing on an actual product more than anything at these early stages. Lots of tokens have 'teams', but how many have actual working products? A good product can't be faked. That's what will distinguish Goodomy.)

When does the project begin? 
Both Shopomy and OTOL have already begun.
Shopomy is scheduled for release May 24th, in a few weeks.
OTOL should be ready by September.

I've personally been spending about 3 hours a day just testing the app to make sure everything works as it should. I'm proud to say that Shopomy kicks ass!
On release the app will be available for Android, and in English and Spanish. We're looking to conquer North, Central, and South America this year!
The app works best on Android 6.0 or greater (about 56% of the Android market, ) but also works fine on Android 5.1 (an additional 20% of the market). Smartphone users who use 5.1 or above represent about 1.59 billion people worldwide. (77% use Android)
We are currently 24 days ahead of schedule.

But I can say that yesterday we tested the Goodomy-to-Shopomy transfer and it is working fine.

I read all your whitepaper, it's good 
Thanks. I wanted to write something that users could actually understand. So many crypto whitepapers are written for math professors it's easy to hide bad solutions within them, no one the wiser.

The GOOD Team is looking deeper into our EOSEUM hybrid solution now that EOSIO Dawn 3.0 is out.
We are also researching DAG's potential scalability issues, which might post a problem later on. There seems to be one better alternative, however.

By the way... near-instant confirmations is one thing that we were looking for with the -DAG part of the solution for Shopomy. But EOS might actually be so awsome as to offer it on release in June.
Crypto is used to having 1-60 minute confirmations. Ethereum has been pretty good lately with faster and cheaper transactions.
But that's not good enough for us. We want 1) instant; and 2) free transactions. It will beat a 3 cent transaction that takes 12 seconds each and every time. That's what consumers will want, too.
During Shopomy testing a few days ago I sent some GOOD over. It took about 12 seconds. I did the same thing a few minutes later and it took over 40 minutes from start to finish. Consumers want the same transactional experience each and every time. That's why Ethereum is good for now, but is just a stepping-stone.
EOS might give us all that, and more.

Interesting project, but why there's no one trading with your coin. Your volume on exchanges is so small. I am afraid to buy your coins for that reason.
No worries. You can wait a year or so. We should be on Binance then
But of course we are full steam ahead on development, release, and marketing regardless of what exchange we're on.
(And, by the way, with our Shopomy app consumers will be able to bypass exchanges altogether)
That being said, I did apply to a couple of bigger exchanges after the whitepaper was completed. These things take time, of course.
