Since some users do not monitor the mining forum regularly I wanted to post here, that I recently released lolMiner 0.9.3 (Windows) and lolMiner 0.9.4 (Linux only).
(BTC Talk announcement thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/lolminer-164-fastest-kaspa-miner-in-market-4724735)

The miner is currently good for mining C31 on AMD cards. Performance of 0.9.3 and a stock Vega 64 is about 1.25 g/s while 0.9.4 can do up to 1.35 g/s (ROCm + Samsung memory at 1100 even 1.45g/s) . The reason for this being Linux only is that this new performance kernel currently does not work with Windows - currently investigating why.  Better settings lower the clock to ~1200 mhz and voltage to 835 range giving less then 120W chip power and still >1 g/s even on Vega 56. Navi cards are also supported. To achieve the claimed performance make sure CPU load on rest of system is low and that you use a recent driver (Win: 19.10.1 and newer recommended, Linux: amdgpu-pro 19.30 or ROCm 2.10 recommended - ROCm seems to be faster on 1 or 2 card systems, amdgpu-pro on multi card rigs)

Both versions feature the first available GRIN Cuckatoo-32 miner for 8G cards (use --coin GRIN-AT32) - the code in the 0.9.4 release is a bit more mature, so it was in 0.9.3 as an easter egg. When you want to mine C32 make sure your pool supports it already and be aware that at the current difficulties and with the C31 fade out  not yet started C31 is more profitable.

Hello GRIN Community  Cheesy ,

I was looking to start mining, and was wondering if someone here can recommend me a good gpu to start mining GRIN with.

I was thinking I can start with 1 to learn how mining GRIN works and than upgrade from there when I have the proper understanding of all this.

Thanks

How's GRIN or Monero or others not absolute as soon as ETH will have privacy? I'm not a troll, I'm honestly curious if there's any argument against what I'm saying.

ETH is already crumbling under its own weight and second layer privacy can never compete with first layer not to mention monero sends transactions in minutes for penny's, you just can't beat that. Maybe grin will match that with a lower  scaling someday but only time will tell. For today there is only Monero and anyone that tells you otherwise is selling snake oil.

Monero is not owned by anybody but you while ETH is distributed among millions thats the difference. Grin cant beat anything coz it is a community driven project while eth & co is a billionaire driven cartel and receives funding from me as well. When community drives a coin it is doomed to fail. You know that most people are retarded and the best contribution they can make to their field of interest is pauperize and dumb everything they touch.

Your going to have to break this up and clarify your points. Reading it hurts my head.

Grin and Grin wallet 3.0.0-beta.1 have been released and are ready for public testing in advance of the full release slated for early January.

There are a lot of new features in this release, with transactions exchange via TOR, Payment Proofs and many node sync improvements being a few. But with great change comes a great need for public testing, so we urge the entire community to help out with the effort:

Particular Areas to focus on for testing

Sync a new chain from scratch
Replace binary, using chain data from previous versions
Sending between 3.0.0 wallets and 2.x.x wallets
Sending/receiving between a 3.0.0 wallet and your exchange of choice (use small test amounts!)
Sending and receiving transactions via TOR, see the wallet change nodes below for how to do this.
    Requesting payment proofs
IMPORTANT: Run a floonet node and perform transactions on floonet during the floonet test hardfork, scheduled for block 298,080, estimated to happen on or around December 19th.
Wallet Developers - Using the new V3 wallet API functions, see notes below for details

The 1660ti has a pretty impressive profit margin for a fairly low price barrier.

@pbfarmer. Use it while you can, however we cannot trust it to maintain it once pressured by regulators.

@Hueristic. He is also not a troll hehehe.

Yeah he's not a troll. Lol

Also, what is lower scaling and what will it match?

Means the blockchain may scale with transactions better once privacy is achieved, IE less bloat.
We shall see once they address the issues they currently face.

Blockchains with better privacy will scale less. This was what occured on Monero on the introduction of RingCT. Blocks became heavier and it was the reason why Aeon did not activate the code and might also have removed it from the codebase. I will ask @smooth.

Yes, you are arguing my point here.

I'm looking for an exchange I can buy grin. I used to use polo but us based so no can do. thank you

You can see exchanges where Grin listed here:

https://next-prod.coinmarketcap.com/currencies/grin/markets/

I would reccomend you Okex, Kucoin and Bibox (exchanges which I used and have not any problem).

Also, Grin listed to DEX exchange:

https://x.vite.net/trade?symbol=GRIN-000_ETH-000

However, do Okex, Kucoin and Bibox not require their users to do give up identification and other private documents?

Kucoin definitely does not currently require anything for limited withdrawal (<2btc/day?)  I've been using it since all the other US exchanges started shutting down / limiting coins / etc.
