Grin inflation rates

If developers will work well, what I give a lot of chances they will. Then Grin will be a good buy at about this point of the next Bitcoin cycle. So like in the year 2023. Wealth will abandoning altcoins for safer Bitcoin and Grin emission will starting slowing down so positive price movement toward Bitcoin will be available.

Oh by the way
Gold mining yearly inflation is 1.5%
Todays Bitcoins emission inflation is 3.83%
Todays Monero emission inflation is 5.09%

Can Grin be added as a sidechain to Bitcoin?

Mimblewimble technology can be added and probably will in Monero and Bitcoin, not Grin that is its own coin.

I want to withdraw a small test amount from bitmesh. The exchange asks me for an address, as usual. I'm overstrained to create an address for my wallet. I'm using the grin software version 1.0.0 on ubuntu 18.04.1 LTO. I have created two accounts, "default" and "test". How to choose the account, and how to create an address? Any help please. Hope it is not for nerds only.

I don't know which transaction method Bitmesh uses but the Grin wallet guide might be interesting for you https://github.com/mimblewimble/docs/wiki/Wallet-User-Guide

Or you can maybe use wallet713 713.mw which gives you an adress https://github.com/vault713/wallet713/blob/master/docs/usage.md

Thanks, the github doc is readable, but there is not a single word about an address. Methods can be 'http', 'file' or 'self'. I cannot see how I can apply this with bitmesh, who require an address. I wonder. (I tried wallet713, but it does not compile)

Hello guys!
Its possible to mine this coin with 1070?
Sorry if this quastion was before:/

I just started to mine it with my 1070 getting around 2.59gps. I guess it is not a good card to mine this coin. I guess it makes more sense to buy a few in case it gets big later. Don't know if it is worth mining especially with that card while others milk the cow a lot faster with 1080ti's.

Well, anyone already bought 2 pizza paid in Grin?

It does't matter anyone did this or not because history created once in a time. There are so many coins who made this copy but already died even in just few months. Only adoption and community support matter and time will prove this. If this coin will provide something useful than it will get more stronger.

Why the total supply is infinite? This will make the price go down in the long run...
So far there is no proof that finite supply and price is correlated directly, outside of the investors expectations of scarcity, major coins are still in the issuance phase and no one knows what will be when the last bitcoin is minted.
I would rather see a coin with a 3% tail emission accepted at every shop on this planet, than 1.000.000 USD/BTC for which you can go to jail if being caught.

Why do people think it is an either or proposition? the two are not mutually exclusive. I was going to merit you until I read the bolded.

yes
need miner for gpu with memory less then 4 gb.

From what I have read, this will probably not happen (the algo just needs much RAM to run).

Supply might change. It's not infinite in real time. We're in it ahem for the tech not so much the price.
Who'll change? A centralized authority?

Why would a HODLer go to jail if & when BTC hits 1,000,000 USD?

Read both white papers. Most of it is a bit over my head (or a lot over my head) but I'm bookmarking this thread to keep up on the latest. Will look forward to when a Windows GUI wallet client is released.

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?
All of you go mine this new one now and sell at the same day. don't keep it.

soon as i figure out how to transfer from the pool to my nodes wallet, and then sent it to an exchange. lol its so much different than regular mining and wallets. figured i would be setup in an hour. hah! still working on it but almost there now.

at least i had the miners running from the start of mainnet. that was fun by itself on my ubuntu box. the windows miner box was simple.
